Happy Halloween!

Halloween this year was so fun. We decided earlier this year to actually do trick or treating here for the first time. We got a group together and made it fun. One friend got really sick that day so we missed that family. It was still fun watching the kids!

Here's the fun group! Aren't they so cute?? We all met over here and took pics then headed out.
The little bumble bee is a younger sister of the little girl next to Gracie. She is so precious and turned 1 in September. That means that she and Ramsey will be in kindergarten together!!
I could die they are so cute!!

Our first few houses! I guess we were a little early because the first 10-15 houses no one answered!! It was disappointing!
The girls took turns to who got to ring the doorbell then would get mad when someone rang and it wasn't their turn! So funny :)
Ramsey did pretty good. He strolled most of the time but started getting fussy so we took turns walking with him. Several ppl stopped and took pictures of the cute puppy dog! He was even on tv that day so Gracie was telling everyone he was famous!
But we made our way to the "Halloween haunted house" we'd heard about since school started.

These people totally take furniture out of their house and transform their house into a haunted house you walk through. We got here around 6:45 and they were frantically still putting stuff together. They said they would open at 7:30. (they wanted it to be dark!) So we went down the street and came back a little before.

The Brave girls in front of the house!

We got back to the haunted house at 7:30 and it was insane. Cars and ppl EVERYWHERE. PPl came from all over. K even saw one of his students! Crazy. We were nervous for the girls but luckily the ppl split it up to young kids on one side and older on another. Then they let the young ones in first. And lucky for me K likes haunted houses because he went in with the girls. He said it was fun for them but could see how it could be really scary of older ones later on. I'm glad I didn't go!  It was such a fun night with new friends. Gracie got tons of candy. We came home and she got to pass some out at our house too.

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we visited the pumpkin patch. Ramsey's first time. He did pretty good considering!  It's always so strange to me to enter a farm like area right in the middle of a city :) I"m glad I'm a city girl. Stinky horses and hay are not my thing!

Here are some fun pictures... We went to the same place as last year. Pony rides, bounce houses, slides, wagon rides, hay maze, and petting zoo area. Fun stuff!

We have a little natural with horses! She loved this  one :)

Halloween 2012

I'd say we had a great Halloween. Our day started off with me dressing up Gracie for her Pumpkin Parade at school. Here's the cute kitty.

I thought she looked adorable and yea for me total cost was $8. Can't beat that! That was for the tail, ears, headband and bowtie. We had everything else :) Easy peasy!

We went out with a bang that night by having a really fun time trick or treating with Maxum and family in his neighborhood. Their neighborhood goes ALL out and pretty much every house is decked out and outside giving out candy. It's so much fun!!

Doesn't she look sooo cute??? She really looked straight out of the 50's! She wasn't wild about her outfit at first but secretly I think she liked it once she had it on. We let her wear shorts underneath for comfort and she kept twirling in her skirt. Everyone flipped out when they saw her!

Here's my cute family! I tried to be a Grease girl minus a pink lady jacket and Kelly, well he was the Nebraska neck warmer! I told me people may not think he's in costume! Ha! He got some laughs. Mostly people called him the mullet guy :)

The zombie hunter and 50's girl. So much fun!

GG made chili and brought it over so we all ate before heading out. Of coarse we took some pre-tricks pictures.

The zombies and the Zombie Hunter!

                           the crew :)

Oh my how things have changed with Gracie. She used to be totally shy and we had to shove her up on walk way. Not anymore! She was right up there with Maxum sometimes beating him. She flew up the walk way and down steps so fast! She had a ball!!

This one house is always a show stopper. They have tons of inflatables out front all lit up. It's super neat. Ali got a good pic just as dracula was popping out!

We stayed until after 8 then stopped by one big Halloween house on our way home. Our street was very dark and quiet so we didn't even turn on our lights. Maybe some day Gracie will get to pass out candy! So far it just hasn't happened for her!

What a fun night! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Super Gracie to the Rescue!

This Halloween was so fun for us. Gracie was really into the whole idea of Halloween and it was great. It wasn't fun having Halloween on Monday but we made the best of it! I picked her up early from school and we came home to watch Halloween shows and eat an early dinner. She couldn't wait to get all dressed up again.
She had more fun picking acorns then taking the pictures :) We loaded up in the car and headed to the Ninja Zombies house...
Gracie thought Maxum looked really cool! Their neighborhood just takes the cake around here. Almost the entire neighborhood participates and has lots of decorations complete with mini haunted houses and smoke. It's pretty cool :)
Here's the little group we went with. Check out the cute cowboy. He's Gracie's age and super adorable!!
Finally it was time!!!!!!!!!!
This year she just took off and did great. Last year she still needed lots of prompting and reminding. This year, not so much! She loved every second :) She kept up with the 3 boys pretty good, but the Zombie Ninja was always in the lead. He loves candy!!
Several houses gave out things other than candy which was nice. Toys, pencils, and even juice. Great idea! All the kids were thirsty.

This was one of our favorite houses. They did a great job even had a surround sound attached to the walk through. We even saw some 'ghost poop'. Super fun!
We went full on for about an hour. She did really good but was starting to get tired. She'd had a LONG day! We headed home and then got to check out her loot. She was one happy girl!!
We spent the rest of the night watching Diego's Halloween and handing out candy to the older kids. She thought that was pretty fun too.

Just for fun, a little Halloween recap :)
