Sunshine Day

We had a horrible storm roll through last night. 4 tornados around the D/FW area but luckily not too close to us. We (luckily) all slept through it. Almost everyone on FB was talking about all the damage they had so we lucked out. Today was the most beautiful day so we played outside after dinner.

It was all fun and games until Gracie stepped in dog poo. Yuck. She was happy to have her foot and jeans all washed off.

We watched a pretty neat bug for awhile. We think a locust? Not sure.

Jack decided to get in the grill when we weren’t looking. Kelly had just grilled out and this one loves to lick grease from the grill!

Lots of chasing Daddy, Lots of laughter. Lots of sunshine. You can’t beat that on a Monday evening!!

Beautiful Park Day!

We had super nice morning weather here. We just had to get outside and enjoy it. We told Gracie we were going to take her to the park and she jumped for joy! I needed to drop some stuff off at the big consignment sale in Plano so I found a nearby park for Kelly and Gracie to play at while I did my errand.

When I came back a little bit later they were no where to be found. I was a little nervous (I tend to over-react sometimes and think the worst!) Thank goodness for cell phones. They had gone for a walk on a trail. It seemed like forever but soon I could see them from down the path.

She couldn’t wait to show me a new trick, Saving Daddy.

My funny little girl! The one thing about her; she plays full out at parks. She was pooped after awhile and said “okay, I reddy to go home!”

In good news: she stayed dry ALL week. I can’t believe it. She tells when has to go potty and runs as fast as her little legs will go. I found her some cute Dora panties and she loves them :)

Bunny Huntin’

Kelly and Gracie love to go on bunny hunts around our neighborhood. Our area is filled with them and Gracie loves chasing them! The other night we waited very patiently while chalking the sidewalks.

“Oh Bunnies, where are you?”

One even got very brave and hopped into our front yard.

Don’t worry, he got scared and left pretty quick after seeing this running towards him.

Park Fun

We're soaking in every single last second of summer together!! The other night it wasn't too terribly bad out so we headed to the park to feed the ducks. I had cleaned out our pantry so we had tons of old cookies, crackers and such to feed them with. I promised Gracie she could play in the sand so she was all over that!

Wordless Wednesday

Singing in the Rain…

We had a nice rain shower one afternoon and we were so happy. Who doesn’t like a little rain after a nice, hot day? Kelly took Gracie out to play in the rain. She thought that was fun!

Then look what we got! It was actually a double rainbow but the 2nd one was hard to see. It was so beautiful!

We were soaked and her bottom was sopping wet but it was worth it!

Fun with the Fountains

We needed a little get out of the house activity last night and with the weather not being too terribly hot we decided to visit the new fountains by us. We had heard about them and had been wanting to check them out. We have a new shopping area right by us with a lot of outside shops and places to eat. It was really neat!  Gracie was just a watcher at first…

She got a little more active when I got my feet wet too.  Then the fountain squirted up and got her!!

                  What really helped was when Kelly went on the other side and we told her to run to each other.

All the sudden we heard a familiar voice. We turned around and it was Kirk, Alison, and Maxum! Maxum was there at The Purple Cow for a birthday party! He was in heaven with his friends running through the fountains.

I somehow managed to get both of them in a picture.

She ended up having SO MUCH FUN! We’ll have to go back again for sure!

Outside Fun

Gracie loves her some outside time (when it’s not 100+ degrees outside!)

She and Kelly were running around the yard and he was chasing her. She loved it!
