Beautiful Park Day!

We had super nice morning weather here. We just had to get outside and enjoy it. We told Gracie we were going to take her to the park and she jumped for joy! I needed to drop some stuff off at the big consignment sale in Plano so I found a nearby park for Kelly and Gracie to play at while I did my errand.

When I came back a little bit later they were no where to be found. I was a little nervous (I tend to over-react sometimes and think the worst!) Thank goodness for cell phones. They had gone for a walk on a trail. It seemed like forever but soon I could see them from down the path.

She couldn’t wait to show me a new trick, Saving Daddy.

My funny little girl! The one thing about her; she plays full out at parks. She was pooped after awhile and said “okay, I reddy to go home!”

In good news: she stayed dry ALL week. I can’t believe it. She tells when has to go potty and runs as fast as her little legs will go. I found her some cute Dora panties and she loves them :)

Life With 2

                      Kids that is….

We got to watch Maxum for a morning while poor Alison is recovering from knee surgery. Gracie was thrilled to have Maxum over at her house. She loved riding in the car with him too :)

I was a very bad good Aunnie/Mommy and took the kids for donuts. Who doesn’t love a few donuts on a Saturday morning? Well, I can tell you who does. These guys!!

Let’s just say I saw what a little (or lot) of sugar can do to a 5 year old boy, wow!!! Of coarse the donuts and donut holes were topped off with real apple juice but who is really asking???

IMG_0608

I did learn that putting 2 into car seats is not easy. Especially when you’re trying to watch out for other cars, it’s like 100+ degrees out and buckling/snapping in seatbelts is hard work!!

We ran a few errands and Maxum is a very good car rider. He actually talks non-stop. I was used to my quiet little cookie :)  I don’ t know what was going on back there but something was funny.

(in the drive through line at Walgreens)

On our way home we saw the McKinney High Band putting on a random show in the middle of the street followed by police on motorcycles. I pulled the car over and we hopped out to watch. IT lasted all of 2 minutes so then I was stuck buckling/snapping in seats again! Home was our next stop.

The kids played and played. Gracie did have a hard time sharing her things. IT’s funny when someone else has something you haven’t touched for months it all the sudden is the thing you cannot live without?? That happened to her a lot. I had to remind her Maxum was our guest and she had to SHARE!

I fixed a pizza lunch followed by Diego and frozen go-gurt.  Thank goodness for Diego :)

These 2, they are so cute. Even Maxum said “Aunnie, take our picture!!”

Love it!!

We can’t wait for Maxum to come over again so Gracie can practice sharing :)

Splish, Splash Park

On Saturday morning we met sweet Lydia at the splash park in Frisco. It's such a neat park (where Lydia's 2nd birthday was) that we just might have Gracie's 3rd birthday there. The splash area wasn't open until 10 so we played at the playground for awhile. Gracie found the sand right away and and was in heaven because I let her get in and make a pure mess!

After some playing we walked over to the splash area and had a little snack. The best I could do. Gracie would not look up when I pulled out the camera.

It got pretty crowded really fast so I didn't take many pictures. Gracie loved watching these kids get sopping wet from the buckets. Lydia had a great time playing in the water.

2 hungry, wet girls

We can't wait to play again with you Lydia!

Fun with the Fountains

We needed a little get out of the house activity last night and with the weather not being too terribly hot we decided to visit the new fountains by us. We had heard about them and had been wanting to check them out. We have a new shopping area right by us with a lot of outside shops and places to eat. It was really neat!  Gracie was just a watcher at first…

She got a little more active when I got my feet wet too.  Then the fountain squirted up and got her!!

What really helped was when Kelly went on the other side and we told her to run to each other.

All the sudden we heard a familiar voice. We turned around and it was Kirk, Alison, and Maxum! Maxum was there at The Purple Cow for a birthday party! He was in heaven with his friends running through the fountains.

I somehow managed to get both of them in a picture.

She ended up having SO MUCH FUN! We’ll have to go back again for sure!
Here is a little video I took too.

Playin’

As Gracie says…. “I just playin’ with my babies…”

The Crew

We know Gracie is feeling better because our resident silly girl is back. She is just so silly. I don’t know where this comes from. We have even been able to take her out to eat a few times recently and she’s been good as gold. She must have not been feeling well last week with her fever. Last night at dinner she was making these silly faces and we were just cracking up at her. I looked at her and then Kelly and said “This must have been you when you were little.” Seriously, I don’t know because I wasn’t there but it has to be him! Her sweetness comes from me. Her spiciness, stubbornness, silliness is all Daddy!

IMG_0083

Some friends gave us this little bike to ride. She likes it but she’s still too short for it. Kelly lowered the seat thinking it would work. But her legs are just a little too short still!

IMG_0088

I can’t possibly get all her silliness on film but her she is running around doing something!

She loves running in socks. Freaks me out! I’m always scared she’s going to fall and break something. She’s fallen so many times on her butt!!

Miss Bossy Pants

Our daughter is a total bossy pants (to us!). She is constantly telling us what to do. Where did she get this???? “Mommy, you sit here. Daddy, you color this. No, not that color, this color. Mommy, you come here. I want juice. No, not that cup, THAT cup. No, not juice, I want water….” it goes on and on….

Here she was making her Daddy lay down, pretend to sleep, and hold Baby.

He did it of coarse!

Sunshine Days

It was such a nice weekend that Gracie and I went to the park 4 different times! We’re learning that the park wears her out and she sleeps much better :)

Friday night we had an early dinner then headed to Town Lake to feed the ducks. Gracie was excited!

IMG_1118

IMG_1119

We fed a few but they just were not that hungry!

We moved on and found the honkers. They were after us!!!

We decided to walk all the way around to the sand pit and she had so much fun.

IMG_1130

IMG_1134

She kept saying “Build some-thin with me Mommy!” And she came up and took my shoes off :)

IMG_1135

Saturday Kelly taught Sat. school so Gracie and I ran errands then went to our neighborhood park. Sat. after her 3 and 1/2 hour nap (!!!) Kelly grilled out early so we went back to the park. This time we didn’t feed the ducks we just played in the sand. We could have stayed there all day. It was perfect.

Then she said “Mommy, I want a pit-ture (picture) with you.” And this is what she did :)
