Lunch with GG

Gracie and I had a special treat yesterday. GG came to our house and we went to lunch and shopping. Gracie had been fever free and acting her normal spicy self so we went out! We went to downtown McKinney to eat lunch at the Pantry. It’s a really good place and it was fun to sit in the window to watch the people walk by.

Gracie got a yummy pb & j with lots of chips and a pickle. She ate the pickle first and said “The pickle is sour!” (Does she really know what sour means???)

She was wonderful at lunch. So good that I thought that couldn’t be my little 2 year old. Maybe Kelly and I can go out to eat again with her?? (We’ve stopped doing it because it’s just too much stress on me. She hardly eats, wants down to play and I don’t get to enjoy it!) But today I got to eat my sandwich and dessert and she just walked around and watched people.

I tried to take a picture while we were out shopping and she wanted nothing of it. She’s not into the camera these days.

And the best part was that GG took Gracie home with her so we could have the night off! It was wonderful. Kelly and I went out to dinner and rented a movie. Thank you GG and Pop!!

Happy Girl

Gracie has been in a wonderful mood this weekend. We had 2 weekends back to back of non-stop fussy-ness and her being so clingy to me. Kelly has 3 friends in town and she just put on a little show for these guys. She was running around screaming-laughing giving them all high 5’s.

My mom has moved PaPaw to a very nice assisted living center right by their house. We went and visited him today. She had all eyes on her there and was just so good. She waved at all the ladies and talked to them. They thought she was the cutest thing!

After her nap this afternoon we did a little running around McKinney shopping and had some girl time. She loves being in dressing rooms while I try on clothes. Something about looking at her cute self in the mirror makes her laugh in hysterics! (She did leave my keys on a t-shirt table at Macy’s and I thought we were in big trouble. Thankfully, I found them after a few frantic minutes!)

Tonight we had Chick-fil-a dinner together and she was just still in the best mood playing and chasing me.

Yes, that is a crayon in her mouth. She loves doing stuff like that just to get a reaction from me.

My friend Leslie here in McKinney passed along the name of her friend that makes really cute personalized shirts and gifts after I had a bad Etsy seller! She made the most adorable shirt and got it to me so fast. Her prices were so reasonable and she can do all sorts of colors and designs. She works here in McKinney but can ship anywhere. While Gracie’s Daddy has been in Canada we’ve been having fun fun!

We met my friend Nicole for lunch and shopped.

We’ve spent almost all of our time inside. It’s been 105 for 5 days straight now.

We’ve even been staying at GG and Pop’s house because it’s been way too hot in our house. There Gracie got to swim and play with the dogs!

GG and I have been doing lots of shopping for one special room in our house for one special girl, this one!

It’s a good thing I have a big car!

GG, Pop, and I have been working for almost 48 hours getting the new play room all ready and it is the cutest thing I ‘ve ever seen. I’ll have to post pictures later because I am exhausted and the little one will be up in a few hours so I need some sleep myself!
