"1" step further/38 weeks

I had my appointment Friday morning and found out I am starting to dilate. Just at a "1" but that means there has been progress and now it could happen any day. I hope later than sooner because I feel as though we still need some time to mentally prepare! My Dr. said my cervix was starting to thin out and that was a good sign. She also said that she would induce labor by October 1st unless things change with my health beforehand. The good news about October 1st is that is when my normal Dr. comes back on maternity leave. So that means no matter what, we will have Baby Grace here in about 2 weeks or less!!!

I am still having major swelling issues. Now my feet are starting to go numb too. I had to break down and buy the wrist braces to wear at night. It does help some but the other day my hands starting turning blue at school. After talking to my Dr. about it, she felt it was necessary to go on home rest starting next week. Every day is starting to get a little worse with swelling so it is not a good situation being at school right now. I have tried my hardest but there is only so much I can do. I do sit every now and then at school but it is not a solid sit and rest like my legs and feet need. I think now it is time to try and rest before things get even crazier!
