Storm Watch 09'

We survived our first bad storm of 09'. We had been hearing for days that we could have possible tornadoes come through Tuesday night. It seemed like things were going to be okay so we were oblivious to it all. Kelly went to work out, Gracie was sound asleep, and I was on the computer editing some pictures on photo shop. Luckily my mom called me around 9:30ish and said their sirens were going off in Plano and to watch the weather. Even though we are in McKinney it is right on the Allen border so most of the times we hear the Allen sirens from our house. Kelly got home just in time as the storm was starting to pass through and we were getting really high winds. I went ahead and got Gracie out of bed from upstairs and we waited in front of the tv for a few minutes then our sirens went off too. We get to duck and cover in a 2X2 closet under our stairs that is FULL of shoes, jackets, seasonal holiday wreaths, and much, much more. Add me, Gracie, our 95 pound dog, and Kelly and it makes for not much fun!!! We only were in the closet a few minutes and once again we were very lucky the storm passed quickly over us and moved on. Gracie woke up as we were in the closet and she couldn't figure out what we were doing. I took a few pictures to remember the night! I love her bed head and of coarse Kelly just loves having his picture taken. Our sweet little girl went back to bed right away and slept all night... until 5:45...
