Miss Independent

We have made a new discovery around here. We finally figured out how to get this girl to eat; we completly ignore her while she eats! She has been using her spoon for awhile now here and there but I would always help her eat too- not any more! Every meal this weekend we just gave her food to her at the table then we ignored her. This girl ate peas, green beans, Yogurt (that has NEVER happened!) pudding, and now real cereal and milk. It's not easy to ignore her because she does everything she can to get us to laugh at her. It's hard for me because she makes a HUGE mess but I just put a bib on her and let her go. I do love our big, hairy vacuum cleaner that comes in to clean up after her!

I got some action shots of her eating. She has a bowl of oatmeal/apple sauce and a bowl of cheerios and milk

Her Daddy thinks we might have a lefty

Ummmm!

All done
Her new favorites from the past week:
-Saying "This" for everything. She points and brings things to us saying "this"
-She has started bringing us picture frames. She takes them from all over the house and if we point to a person in the photo she usually gets it right. Of coarse the pictures around our house are mostly her! She has learned "GG" for my mom and she calls herself something similar to GG
-Favorite toy: an old tennis ball. "Ba" She loves throwing this and it's especially fun when Jack gets up and runs after it. That doesn't happen too often because he's LAZY

I'm happy to announce that she is much, much better. She still has cold-like symptoms but she's worlds better from last week! She looks better and has been less clingy, whinney, and grumpy :) Last night she slept straight through 7:15 pm to 6:40 this morning.

Check out the video of her eating below
