Happy Memorial Day to Everyone!
I so love having Kelly home on Mondays. I can get so much more done around the house. Not to make anyone jealous, but having Mondays off is always how I have my long-weekends since I only work part time. But, next year I won’t have this nice schedule. (That is, if I get a job, which I haven’t yet… and that could be a post in itself…)
I love blogs! You know why? The reason why I started our blog is to be able to hopefully share with Gracie someday all the things we did together and how she grew up. Well… the great thing about having this on-line memory book called a blog is that I can look up any date from the past and see what we did. Just last night I was wondering what we did last Memorial Day. Kelly is always good about remembering facts and tv shows and what we had for dinner and some things I don’t know how anyone can remember. But now I don’t have to ask him I just look in our blog archives. I was seriously on our blog last night for over an hour looking at how much our little girl has grown. You can see what we did last year by clicking here and here. Seriously? See how much she’s changed? The sad thing is, I can hardly remember her like that even though it was only a year ago. Just for fun here is a side by side comparison.

This Memorial Day we have been busy doing things around our house that we’ve been neglecting to do. Kelly re-painted our fence and did some yard work. I cleaned our blinds and all 3 ceiling fans (I love my swiffer-extender cleaner!). We also installed a black out shade in her room. Thanks to daylight savings- when she goes to bed at 7 it is so light and bright in her room. That was a task -between the wood blinds, the valance and her curtains already in her window! It doesn’t make her room pitch dark but it is much better. Plus- we’ve been spending quality time with our fun little girl. This morning she has a low grade fever and has been pulling on her ear. We’re just staying around the house today and going to watch her…
It’s been a nice weekend but pretty warm so I’ve been making sure she drinks lots of water.
She got a bad blister from new shoes. I told her it was rough being a girl- trying to look cute and break in new shoes! I put a band-aid on it so she would quit touching it but it stayed on all of 10 seconds.
Here she is loving on some chocolate pudding. I buy the sugar free jello pudding and she loves it! Yummy! or as she says “Nummy!”
Here are some more pictures I took of her and Jack. It takes A LOT of patience working with a 19 month old and a 9 year old dog, Geesh!
Jack the “Gentle Giant”! He does not seem that big to me until I saw this picture of her sitting by him and he looks massive! He is a sweet heart though!
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
