We finally had our first swim of the summer! My parents were out of town for the night so we stayed at their house to watch the dogs and had our first swim. This was Gracie’s first time in the pool since last July! The first thing we had to do was let the dogs swim. Jack was in heaven and so was Tessa, my parents smaller dog. She is a maniac and bites the water and just goes crazy. She is a wired hair fox terrier and I’ve never seen one that swims like her! Gracie thought it was so funny to see Jack and Tessa swimming!
We got the dogs all dried off and locked inside then it was our turn. The water was pretty cold so at first it was hard on all of us!
She was very unsure at first- actually for a long time. She just clung really tightly to Kelly. My mom found this cute crab baby raft we thought she would love and not so much…
After we took her out of the crab Kelly just held on to her a little bit longer to let her get used to the water more. Finally she was all smiles. She loved the toy ducks and going fast in circles!
We put her back in the crab and she even smiled some!

Yea for the first swim of summer!!! We know we will have many, many more swimming to do!
