Missing Daddy

We’re missing Gracie’s Daddy around here. He left for summer school today and then was going to the airport to fly to St. Louis. He has a high school friend that lives there and a bunch of his friends from Nebraska were going there to meet and go to a concert. He was very excited to see his friends and catch up with everyone but we sure do miss him! He comes in tomorrow night so Gracie won’t get to see him until Thursday morning.

Even though Gracie is a very good little girl, she is very busy and just doesn’t stop for long. If it wasn’t 1000 degrees outside we could go out and play but we can only go out before 10 in the morning! We ran a few errands before lunch and then did some errands this afternoon where we didn’t have to leave our car (love those!)

To keep herself busy she moved her chair around from room to room. I thought it was sorta odd but I didn’t stop her!

 

I gave her some dry cereal in a bowl to keep her occupied while I cooked dinner. She took her bowl to the coffee table. A bit later I was setting the table and noticed her place mat was missing. I turned around to find this.

 

 

She had taken her place mat over to the table and put her drink and snack on it. I thought this was pretty clever. She just didn’t want to make a mess. Ha!
