I have been saving all this stale bread to go feed the ducks. Finally this morning I said ‘Today is the day!’ I decided to take Gracie back to Towne Lake Park. We went there a few months ago when Grandma and Grandpa Gauger and Auntie Amber were in town. She was not good at all there that day. Remember THIS?
Today was a different day though! We went to the park early and not many people were there.
We found some birds and ducks right away. Gracie was beside herself!
I accidentally started taking a video of up and down, and that is a big No, No. There is no way to change it. I remembered 1/2 way through so it starts off sideways then I turn it!
We moved toward the water and I was watching over her like a hawk. Last time she would have gone right in the water, but not this time. She was so excited to see the ducks. These ducks must get fed all day every day. I swear we found some that had to have been in a food induced coma. They were just not hungry! Across the pond there was a flock of geese but I didn’t feel like carrying her all that way. Maybe next time!
“Here go Mamma”
She loved the duck and geese paddle boats.I think she though they were real!
We finally started throwing in all our bread and some geese from the other side swam over.
We watched some huge, scary turtles pop up too!
Notice she has one last piece of bread in her hand. She would not let go of it. I tried to break off a piece and she started screaming. She just didn’t want to give it up!
“I am NOT throwing away my last piece of bread!”
I was ready to go so I distracted her with some cookies and I took the bread out of her hand and threw it in the lake!
