Blog Books

I made it one of my (many) summer projects to start turning our blog into a book. I was spending so much time doing double duty (blogging and making photo albums). Well not anymore!

I researched a few sites to turn your blog into a book and found blurb.com to be the best. I worked hours and hours (seriously) downloading the blog way back from May 2007 before she was even born!! I just worked a little every night. Once I got started I didn’t want to stop. The biggest pain is changing the font and picture layout.

I have made 3 books so far and did them in 6 month increments. I thought it was going to be so expensive- and it does cost money but after getting 3 of my books in the mail I am so happy with them. The first book was the shortest because it was back when I only blogged once a week and the book was about $35 but I got it hardbound with a cover. They turned out soooooo good. I love them and now have all of memories and stories in a hard bound book.

Here are some pictures and they just do not do the books any justice!!

You can add extra pictures and really personalize how ever you want.

All you bloggers out there need to do this. What a great way to preserve the memories of your family!

I've wondered how the books from Blurb turn out!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Now I'm motivated to get that done. :)

That is great! I need to do that for the two other blogs I kept before streamlining to Jack and Theo only. Thanks for the tips!

I had no idea you could do that!!! I have a feeling I'll be spending hours doing that soon...I blog about everything fun that we do and I use our best pictures, so why should I bother scrapbooking separately? Good luck with the transition back to school!
