When Life Gives you Rotten Banana’s…

DSC_0002

… Make Banana Bread!

We actually like it when banana’s go bad around here because I make banana bread or muffins and it is sooo good. I decided to have a little help from Gracie this time.

She was thrilled to help stir in the flour and sugar…. until some of the flour flew out and landed on her foot (gasp!) Flashbacks from awful, icky sand on her feet, oh no! ((What am I going to do with her?))

“I do it, Momma” she kept saying.

Note to self…. you really should check to make sure you have ALL the ingredients before starting. I didn't have any eggs so I had to tell her we couldn’t bake them or eat them until later (oops). Luckily I have her toddler mind that gets sidetracked by crayons/play dough to get her mind of something.

Banana Muffins are mm….mm… GOOD!

Banana Bread Recipe that I sort of follow!

1 cup of butter (I use 1/2)

1 cup of sugar (I use 1/2)

2 cups of flour

2 eggs

1 tsp. baking soda (I forgot this, double oops!)

2-3 rotten bananas (the more rotten, the better)

1/2 c pecans (optional)

Bake at 350 for 1 hour, muffins about 20-25 min.

Sounds yummy. We do have some rotten bananas so i will have to make some tomorrow. I think that is funny that Gracie hates the sand. Chandler despised it as well. We couldn't get her to walk on it either.
