Me and My Gal

It has been just us girls this weekend. Kelly was able to make a quick trip up to Minnesota to visit family. Though it has not been easy at times, we have had a lot of fun together!

I love the self timer cameras!! I have to say that I did NOT tell Jack to come get in the picture. He saw me setting it up and got in himself, silly dog! This is what was going on while I was setting up…

See, I told you! (In my last post) This is her new favorite thing to do. I don’t mind too much because it is a very sturdy table and it’s not high off the ground…. Here’s another cute one….

So what we did on our weekend together; shopping (way too much shopping!) not a whole lot of spending but lots of looking buying for her party, lots of play time; she would say “Momma, tea?” and we would go have pretend tea together, lots of playing outside and painting, we went to a fun birthday party, and a took a WHOLE LOT OF PICTURES!!

We did have our fair share of tears… yesterday she ran smack into a table and now has a bruise on the bridge of her nose and under her eyes…. she also slipped in water and fell hard on the tile floor and bit her lip and bled all over me in a white shirt, oops!

We also had a few uhh-oh’s and oh no’s! Like when she grabbed my Dr. Pepper bottle while I was cleaning up and proceeded to shake it and have some explode all over our new couch (big Oh-No!!), she also got away from me when my hands were full in a parking lot and got very close to a moving car (nearly gave me a heart attack), and she also grabbed a sharp knife off the kitchen table and started running from me with it in her hands laughing the whole time. I was not laughing at that one either…

Sometimes she just has Kelly’s face all over her!! I especially see it in the one above.

I love this last one. Jack totally posing wanting some camera time and I could NOT get Gracie to look up at me at all. She was very much interested in her bubbles. This weekend I was reminded several times though of what a big girl she is becoming. She understands so much now of what we say and does things when I ask her (as long as it’s fun for her!) I let her bring her lamb and paci into our bed Sat. morning when she woke up at 6 to watch a little Barney so I could pretend to sleep in. When we were getting off the bed I said “Now go put your lambie and paci in your bed” not really thinking she would but she took off to her room and threw her paci and lambie right over her crib rail.

We’ve got a big week and weekend ahead, guess who is going to be 2 on Friday????
