My Gracie

I haven’t done a post on her funny expressions or sayings lately. I really should keep a notebook with me at all times to write down some the stuff she says. She just cracks us up sometimes! The funniest thing (to me!) is that Gracie has this sweet little southern accent. I blame GG for that but it’s so funny to listen to the way she says some things.
Recently about the snow she said “Is it melting?” and she was devastated that it was. Only her melting word sounds like my-yelting. It is so funny!
Coming home from school she said “Mommy, you have a big, big car.” I said “I know.” Then she said “So you can smush people.” I said “What? Mommy doesn’t smush people Gracie!” and she said “Yes you do, you said the people walking in the street are going to get smushed!” oops, maybe I did say that. She hears EVERYTHING!
She loves seeing birds. Every time we see them she’ll say “There’s my friend, Birdie!”
“Mommy, my baby has a boo-boo on his face and needs a band-aid. Oops, where did it go? That’s alright I’ll put his boo-boo back on.” (This was said by her when I picked her up one day. She thought baby had a boo-boo but it obviously was just a speck of dirt that she reapplied when it came off!)
We have a school right next to ours called Special Programs. It’s basically where the problem kids go. Every day we pass by it and I’ve told her “That’s the school for boys and girls that don’t listen to their mommy/daddy/teacher.” Every day we pass by she says “Zat the school for the bad kids Mommy? Where are they? I don’t see any bad kids but they don’t get to go outside.”
Out of no where one day she said you have to be nice to be friends. I was surprised she was talking about this but agreed. She went on to tell me about the bad kids in her class! I won’t use their real names but one girl in particular we’ll call Sally! Gracie said “But not Sally, she is not nice. She is not nice to me or the teachers. She goes to time out a lot, a lot.” I was laughing so hard because we had just met ‘sally’s’ mommy  she & is a principal! Ha!!
The other morning she said “Mommy, what are you doing?” I had my make up brushes in my left hand and the remote in my other hand. I said “I’m changing the channel for you?” then she said “No, what is in your left hand?” I was shocked she said that!

2 little things she pronounces funny: she calls milk 'nilk' so she'll say "I want some nilk and orange juice please!" We had shrimp last night and she said "I want some swimp". It was so cute!

I know there’s tons more but I can’t think of anything else. Just wanted to write down some so I can always remember them!!
