The First Day Of Summer…

Tuesday, June 7th was our very first day of summer break together. Even Kelly was home this one day with us. This is how our day played out.

Gracie,

You slept in until 6:20 am (don’t be jealous!) I was pleasantly happy because lately it’s been in the 5’s.

You have bad allergies still and a horrible cough that I’ve taken you to the Dr. twice about. It sounds terrible but it’s not in your chest and I’m to keep giving you allergy meds plus your nasal spray. And you weigh 33.4 pounds!

You requested pancakes for breakfast then had food envy to my special k cereal and had some of both!

You drew a cute family picture and even included Jack! You said it was for me so you used my favorite color, purple.

s

(Jack is not the feather, he is just to the right of it!)

We went to kids summer movie camp and saw Over the Hedge. You liked it for about 30 minutes then wanted to go home.

You had leftover pizza for lunch then we went straight to the pool at Lifetime.

You improved so much in your swimming! You did more today than you did all summer last year. On the way home you said “That was so much fun!”

You took a 2 hour nap (thank you Jesus! and I had some quiet time)

You requested to watch Scooby Doo when you woke up.

You played with babies, colored some more, read magazines, hugged on Jack, and then we went to free birds for dinner.

You ate tortillas w/beans and pears. You pronounce pears as “pay-ers” It’s so darn cute.

After dinner you made a giant mess in our living room with your babies. You put all your babies to sleep on the couch then covered them up with pillows and said “Shhh, they are taking a nap”

You talked to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone.

I gave you a bath then you blew bubbles on the patio. 8:00 at night is the only time we can enjoy the outside it’s been so blooming hot already.

You watched a quick Madeline, I read the Madeline book to you then hugs, kisses, prayers and to bed you went at 8:45. Phew.

Daddy and I watched the Mavs win against the Heat in the final second. Exciting!!  What a good first day of summer. Here’s to many, many more!
