Gracie started her preschool swim lessons this week and is having so much fun! It’s a group setting with several teachers. She goes every day for 35 minutes for 2 weeks.
It is not fun lathering sun screen all over this little girl! I wasn’t quite sure how she was going to do since this is really her first time to do lessons w/o me in the water with her. She did great! I gave her a kiss, said good bye and she got right in and did everything she was told. Her only complaint was that the water was too cold! So far they’ve mostly worked on going under, doing good bubbles, scoop strokes and good kicking legs. It’s been really good for her though and she’s been smiling the whole time!
She really likes the teachers and does EVERYTHING they say to do. Even when they are trying to get some other kid to go under, she does it
See the top of her head? She’s blowing bubbles.
I’m so proud of her and just thrilled she’s having fun! I’m also thrilled that I don’t have to get in the water with her. It is so nice to be able to sit on the sidelines this time!!!
The teachers come up to me every day after ‘class’ and give a report on how she did. They all complement her for following directions and being so cute! Can you say teacher’s pet???

where are ya'll taking lessons.. I wish I could do an every day class for Ryan... but it does look like she is having fun!!
Love that swimsuit! She looks so grown-up!
Go Gracie!! It's so neat to see her swimming and going under. I hope Theo does half as well as she does!!
Glad she's having fun! My kids are doing them right now too, and I LOVE that I get to sit and watch, instead of having to get in with them like I did with Avery last year! That's awesome that Gracie is going under and blowing bubbles, Avery still hasn't mastered it :)
Yay Gracie! We just finished our first swim lessons. It was fun. I can't imagine it being every day for 2 weeks for just 35 minutes. That's a lot of effort to get ready, go to the lesson, and then get all cleaned up and deal wtih wet bathing suits and towels every day... BUT obviously it's so much fun for her, and she's doing so well!!
