Great Wolf Lodge

This was a few weekends ago but wanted to slip this in….

Kelly’s friend from high school was in town staying at the Great Wolf Lodge for a work trip. The Great Wolf Lodge is a huge kid friendly hotel that has a ginormous indoor water park. They do not give day passes, you have to stay overnight. (And you can’t stay there for under $150 a night either). But for our fun Saturday we were guests of the Edward Jones crew Smile

I got some of these pics on-line..

It was a cool place!

Inside the check in area, looking down at the indoor water park. We didn’t stay inside long, we mostly hung out at the outdoor pool.

This was a cute little area where they do a story time for the kids.

Gracie had such a good time splashing and waiting for the wolves to howl. When they would howl this giant waterfall would pour out of the wolf statue and get everyone soaked. Even though it was a 100 degree day it was breezy and it wasn’t bad as long as you stayed in the water or under shade!

Just  funny side note we still had to pay $30 a piece for our wrist bands that gets you in the water parks and rides. 2 and under kids were free. We fibbed and said Gracie was 2. All day I told her that if anyone asks her how old she is she needed to say 2. She thought that was the most fun!! Only she would love being 2 again. Later on that night I heard her bawling her eyes out. I ran upstairs and in between sobs she said “Daddy says I’m not 2 anymore, that I’m 3. I’m not 3, I’m 2!” Oh Gracie!

I also somehow lost my sunglasses when we had been there for only 5 minutes. I looked everywhere and checked the front desk 3 times but no luck so I had squint eyes the whole time outside. I laughed and told Gracie those silly wolves stole my glasses. We see the Great Wolf Lodge commercials like every 5 seconds here and every time she sees it on tv she says “Ha Ha, Mommy! Those silly wolves stole your glasses!!”

That looks like fun! We may need to go there, too! It is hysterical that you made Gracie say she was 2 all day long! I'm sure you're not the first parent to fib to save a few bucks.

We love that place!!! Have only been once but plan to go back someday. Glad you had fun :) I'm all about little white lies that get your kids into places for cheaper, no judgment here ;) Sorry you lost your sunglasses!!
