The 4th of July is Maxum’s actual birthday so we got to go to lunch at Mi Cocina with him. He really wanted to be sung to!
I loved dressing Gracie up in her cute red, white, and blue dress. She wore it Memorial Weekend too. I promised her she would only have to wear it to lunch. That pleased her a little. (She HATES dresses). I took some pics of her before we left.
I know she’s not looking in the next one but I love it! I love her face! It could be because she’s got 3 tick tacs in her mouth
She’s a funny one sometimes with the camera. You just never know!!
Back to lunch. We went to Mi Cocina (Yummy!) and sat outside under the covered patio. It was super hot but fun to see the ducks at the pond next door.
Maxum was OVER having his picture made!
Maxum got his wish and got sung to. He was a little shy but loved it.
Then we went back to GG and Pop’s house for cake and to let Maxum open our presents.
Maxum wondered why GG gave him several lizard books…..
because he also got his very own lizards!
I think GG is going to miss them. She had them for 2 days before and she just talked to them. They were fun to watch!
He named them Green Lantern (because one is green) and Michael.
Then we had cake that Gracie and I made. GG made real chocolate icing. Super yummy!
We put Gracie down for a nap then GG and I went shopping. We came back and found Pop had a lap full of babies. What a good Pop!
and as for Kelly? He left right after Maxum’s Bday party and was gone for 5 days to Minnesota doing this…
fishing. He had a good time. Gracie and I missed him but we stayed super busy at GG and Pops!

My goodness... that's a large tank for lizards!! Is it for them to grow into snakes later with future reptiles? Looks like a fun 4th :)
I finally caught up on your blog tonight! I usually look at it several times a week - how did I get so behind?? I love that Maxum named his lizards Green Lantern and Michael - how random! And the picture of your Dad with all the babies and Gracie is priceless!!
