Not a good start

We did not have the best start to our fun spring break. Friday when I picked up Gracie she was whinny and complaining that her throat was hurting. She'd had a low, low grade fever (99ish) for 2 days but we had to go to school so I kept sending her anyways. Bad, I know but sometimes you have no choice. I went ahead and made a quick appt with her dr and by the time we got there and checked in she had a 99.9. Something was up. She's never had strep throat and never complained of a sore throat before. After one look the Dr. said "Bad sinus infection and a lot of drainage down her throat." At least we can get meds and be on our way.
Sat. morning she woke up early 5:30ish and was complaining of her tummy hurting. Lets just say she had 5-6 trips to the potty before 8:00- not looking good. Turns out she was having a little reaction to her meds and needed a probiotic too. Luckily I had a few packets from another time. By noonish she seemed better so we went out for a much needed hair cut.

She got  a really cute summer wedge, stacked in the back. Super easy  and great for summer/swimming. She took a pretty good nap and was excited about our night adventure. We had free tickets to the Dallas Stars hockey game thanks to a nice donor. The donors bought out some sections of the arena for kids/teachers at our school. We had free tickets and free train tickets. The weather turned nasty- pouring down raining but we were determined to go and stay for at least 1/2. Gracie was complaining that her tummy hurt again. We went ahead and went. We got to the train station, SOAKING wet, feet all wet and Gracie says' (crying) "I think I'm gonna throw up!"  We both looked at each other and then started running for the car, again.

By the time we got home (Kelly dropped us off and then went on to the game) she was running 99.8 fever again and not well. Poor girl . We both got in our pj's and got into my bed to watch tv. Luckily this morning she slept in until 7:30 (thanks to daylight savings!!) She was feeling better and looked better.

She played all morning then we were off to the movies! In the rain again..

 This is what we saw...

It was really cute. Way too many preview for a kids movie (over 20 min worth) then you sit for the 90 min movie. Why do they always do that????  We all ate popcorn so that was good to waste time. I thought maybe it was a little over her head (the true message) but when we asked her about it she understood. She said she liked the girl the best (Taylor Swift's character. When we came out of the theater the sun was out bright! Yea! We took naps and then played outside the rest of the afternoon.

Tomorrow we have Gauger Family Fun day planned! Yea :) She can't wait!!
