Church Egg Hunt

This past Saturday afternoon we had a fun little egg hunt at our church. Gracie was really looking forward to it. She picked out her outfit and we grabbed her bunny basket and we were off! With a few pre-egg hunt pictures first though!

 

We got all checked in and noticed the real Bunny Easter (as Gracie calls him). I said "Let's go get a picture with him!" Suprisingly she was willing and low and behold she jumped right up on the bench next to the creepy Easter Bunny and even smiled!! I think it's the sweetest picture. Go Gracie! 

After she said "I didn't want to get that close to him Mommy!" She did great and even got a prize for her basket.

After the bunny Easter we went inside/. She got her face painted really cute. I think it's the first time she's had her face painted!

 Then in the gym she wanted to do the bounce houses/ slides. She had a blast! She went right up the ladders to the bounce slide and took off. It was so fun. One scary thing that happened (luckily I didn't see it) was Gracie climbed up (pretty high) and her foot got caught in her skirt and the ladder and she fell straight off flat down on her back. Kelly was there and he said she jumped right up and went back up the ladder. Phew. Glad this Mommy didn't see it!

 Finally it was time for her age group egg hunt. She got to have her egg hunt on the playground which was really fun! All kids got to get 12 eggs which was really fair. Unlike the last few years in McKinney where people line up hours before the egg hunt and push/shove this was very civilized and fair!

 She had a GREAT time. We opened her eggs, examined the goods and then were on our way home. What a fun afternoon! Now she's ready for her hunt at school tomorrow :)
