Soccer Has Started

Gracie is doing something new this fall. She's now playing soccer! Kelly really wanted to wait until she was almost 5. Unlike most people here, the sign up their kids as soon as they are walking. Soccer is very competitive!

We are doing it just for fun & we are trying to stress the 'fun' part of it to her. Now that labor day is passed, soccer has begun!

She's on team pinkalicious & uniforms are coming soon. Friday was the first practice. Kelly was passed the reigns to coach the first practice & game.


-This was Friday afternoon in 104 heat. I did not attend. She came home, put her suit on & jumped in the pool!

Saturday we had a big cool front come through. The temps were in the 60's & very windy.


First game!

I didn't know what to expect but I was really impressed. There are several girls on her team that are awesome (those that have been playing since 2!) Gracie was a true hustler. She stayed in most of the time & did great for her first game. I think she learned a lot already. Her team won like 12-1 & guess what??? She even scored a goal!!! It was by pure luck. She was in the right place at the right time but she still scored. The mom next to me couldn't believe it was her first game! ( her daughter has been playing since 2!)

GG & pop were so mad. I told them not to come thinking it would be a train wreck. Shows you what I know! Go team pink!!! We are 1-0!
