23/24 Weeks (6 mths)

Time is flying by with this pregnancy. I not complaining about it going fast but I know I'll blink and it will all be over soon. I tend to lose track of where we are in this thing and only because of monthly dr appts can I keep up. I have my official 24 week/6 month check up this Friday so I"m calling this my 24 week picture!

I think I look a LOT larger in person than I do in this picture for some reason. !! Teachers at school are stopping me every day lately saying "Whoa, you finally look like you have a baby in there!" I don't know whether to say thanks for cry! I am thankful to have several tops (non maternity) that still work and these are non-maternity jeans. My belly is just different this time. There is no way I could wear regular clothes when I was almost 6 mths with her.


Her sign says "Baby Brother!" It's hard to see because my flash came on and caused horrible shadows. Kelly was playing photographer so I blame him! 

This last pic says it all. She cannot wait for this kid to get her! She is just so darn excited. She asks me questions every single day like "Can I be at the hospital when they take him out of you?" and then she'll say "I sure hope brother is cute!" Me too Gracie!

We still have no name. GG calls him that "What's his name baby". Gracie calls him "brother", and we have a very short list now but I have to say I may be one of those irritating people that wait until I see his sweet face until he has a real name! If we do decide, sorry, you'll have to wait until April because we are not going to say! Ha! I don't want to be mean like that it's just that if we choose the name we are really considering I want you to see him first and tell the story behind it! Mean I know, but trust me, YOU WILL NEVER GUESS IT :) But choosing an unusual name means taking a big risk. A risk I"m not sure I can do for fear he'll hate us when he's older. We have a back up (the one Gracie really likes, not brother!) But I just don't know! IT's so stinking hard!!

This last week has brought on my first real cold. It's no fun. I went to the dr just to be on the safe side and they said it looks like just a virus. I'm having trouble breathing (stuffy nose) and sore throat so it's impossible to sleep. If I can breath out my nose at night and finally get in a good position I have to go potty and then the heartburn sets in and the whole cycle starts all over again. The heartburn is pretty intense. I'm taking meds 2 X a day and I know exactly the moment it wears off! Lots of hair on his head? We'll see come April!

I have no real cravings, I"m just pretty hungry all the time. I do eat a lot of fruit but I really like carbs- like pretzels, chips, crackers, dry cereal... stuff that's not the healthiest. I haven't got on the scale in awhile for fear of seeing the high #'s. I will have to face it later this week at the dr. We are slowly getting Baby G's room ready. The bigger bead is in Gracie's room, we put in the changing table, glider, and mattress. We're not going to paint the room so that's easy :)

I am feeling him move a lot. I feel him all over the place sometimes at all 4 corners of my belly in just a few seconds. Gracie has felt him by so far Kelly hasn't. It helps that she is always at my side and always putting her head on my stomach!

We've got Christmas coming and we couldn't be more excited to be out of school! We go until the 21st so we are late getting out this year. We get the week after too so we'll have some nice time after Christmas to enjoy the time!
