The Crib

Last weekend we got the baby crib up. It wasn't drama free (nothing in our life is, I swear!). We had planned on doing it over our break. We got it all out & dusted off only to find all the hardware missing. Every single bolt / screw, GONE! We just knew that when we took apart the crib when G was 2 that we put it all in a Baggie & taped it to the headboard. Just like pop taught me. Well, it didn't work. We blame the move. After much panic on my part I called the store we bought it from 6 yrs ago. (I didn't even know the brand of crib so I'm sure I sounded like a idiot!) luckily I was still in the system & even better, I explained our drama & the sweet girl called the crib company & they sent us new hardware. Thank The Lord! Now fast forward to last wknd we got out everything & started the first few steps only to realize a very impt piece was broken. Like broken off, big time. One of the slats that holds the mattress springs that holds the mattress! Big time uhh oh. After much panic again, I called pop. Gracie said " call pop, I saw him put their crib together fast!" Luckily my dad is a jack of all trades. I texted him a few pictures & he found metal parts at his office that he'd make work. We took the parts to his office & within minutes pop had it fixed!
We returned home and tried again. Within 20 minutes it was up!!

Later GG couldn't stand it so later she came over & brought over some goodies she's been hiding!

I'm not going to show it all but she worked probably 2 hours!!

The room looks really yellow, bad lighting! It's not yellow! I read a book in college that a yellow room could lead to an angry baby! That's not happening here. It's really an off white just like the rest of our house.


GG is practicing rocking!! You can spy the theme behind them but its all I'm showing! I will say how unbelievably cute it is!! I do believe it belongs in a nursery room magazine :) i just love it to pieces!! We still have some cleaning/organizing but all the furniture is in. (Glad it fits! It's a tiny bedroom!)
