7 weeks old

 

Sweet boy is 7 weeks old (almost 8 as I'm writing this!). This week he really started grabbing onto things. Not intentionally but just has and then he has the tightest grib and will not let go! He loves to cling to my shirt or hair and I'll bend over to put him down and he's still attached! ouch!   NIght time sleeping is still going well. K stays up to feed him (or tries to force feed) a few ounces in him ad he sleeps anywhere to 1:30-3ish. I get up and feed him, and we're back to bed sometimes in 30 min but mostly 45 -1 hour then he sleeps again until Gracie wakes us all up! She is officially on summer break as I"m writing this so I've got to train her to not wake up at 6:30 anymore. It's summer, no more of that! 

He's still having crying spells. They start somewhere around 3ish at times but sometimes not until around 8 or 9 at night. They last sometimes an hour -3 hours off and on. It can be challenging but it's way better than screaming from 12-3 am every single night. He still seems to be in pain when he's screaming. We use a lot of Mylecon gas drops and rock, change positions, walk, stroll- sit and listen to him scream! Whatever works. Sometimes one thing works for a minute then it's bad again. You never know how it's going to be and how long it will last. I just keep working until we get him to stop then we wait until he goes again. Poor guy. I'm glad he won't remember all this because we sure will!! 

He is the cutest thing around. Still smiles and eats like a champ- almost eats too much. He goes through bottles like he hasn't eaten for days and sometimes it's only been 2 hours! A growing boy is what we have! 8 week check up next week!!
