Long time no blog

It's been awhile since I've posted a real update. Life is keeping us busy.
We are doing pretty well. Adjusting to our new school normal. The blazing heat of summer is slowly leaving us.

Gracie had art night one evening at school. She loved it!

She is just totally loving school. Every second. She's reading more and loves math centers. We could view some assessments she did at school and she scored very well in math. Surprised me! Math is not my strongest :)

She is officially a Daisy (kinder form of Girl Scouts) along with 16 other kinder girls from her school. They meet every other week and do fun things while learning honesty, respect, manners. It's great. She's met some incredibly sweet girls and I've been lucky to make friends with their sweet Mommies. We meet every day at 2:40 and chat while we wait for kinder to come out. We all live within minutes of each other so it's nice! We both needed friends nearby!

There was a family picnic Friday and she was Miss Social Butterfly playing and chatting with anyone willing. She likes the boys too to run with outside. She's the fastest girl still and is still beating the boys in races! She has lost a total of 4 teeth within the last few months and has several (including a top one) that is really loose! I think she will be toothless like Ramsey any day now! Her dentist said her 6 year molars are also coming in. Ouch!

I lover her little 6 yr old sweet self!

Ramsey:

He's the cutest thing around! He's even had a little cold and he still smiles!

I really think he's close to cutting teeth. It's been rough! She cut teeth at 6 mths so we are still waiting. The last week he hasn't been sleeping well (from his cold or teeth, we don't know) and has been waking up at the very early time at 5 am. No likey for his Mommy and Daddy.

He is sweet as sugar and he loves his Big Sis almost as much as she loves him. She cannot get enough of him and vice versa. They are like peas and carrots. At 5 am when he's the only one up he is looking all over the house for her.

My loves. I'm blessed. A few weeks ago I had a job change. From resource teacher to self contained. Working with kids with severe mental disabilities. It wasn't a choice by me. I had one day notice. It's not easy, I won't lie. It makes me so thankful for my healthy kids.
A co-worker friend was just diagnosed with breast cancer that has already spread other places. 37 yrs old, 2 young boys. A total miracle it was discovered too. Makes me so sad and mourn for her and puts things in perspective. I'm not loving my day job but at least I'm not fighting for my life. Life is precious.

Like I said- I'm lucky. And I'm very thankful :)
