Profile Canvas Project

I’ve been meaning to take a picture and post this for months but I keep forgetting. Awhile back (for Mother’s day actually) Alison and I did a super cute project with Maxum and Gracie to give GG. It was super easy and it turned out really cute (we did have to do it 2 times because we didn’t follow the directions correctly the 1st, oops!) But here is the finished project:

Can you tell who that is? It’s Gracie’s sweet face!! I got the directions off a blog and it was so fun to make.  You take a profile picture  and print it as an 8 X 10 or 5 X 7 and cut out just the face. Then you use paint and contact paper on a canvas. The kids painted all over their canvas so it makes it more their own. They LOVED IT! We like it so much we made own for ourselves too :) I’ve seen some other ones that look pretty similar on other blogs but I thought this was the easiest. It makes a super cute gift or fun memory from that year. I put this one up in her play room and I think it looks really cut there.

I might make one every year or so to see how much she’s changed. You can tell this was made when she had long hair :)

A New Project

 

Since the blogging world has come around I have loved reading other people’s blogs and writing on our own. I have discovered that I really like it and it is so fun to me. There are so many things though I want to blog about but not on our ‘family’ blog so I have made a whole new just-for-fun blog that will be separate from our family blog. (I must not have enough to do, right? Besides working full time, being a Momma, a wife, and so much more!) But like I said, I really enjoy it! So, I’d like to introduce you to my new little project Momma Style. It took me FOREVER to find a blog name that wasn’t already taken so Momma Style was not my first, second, third, fourth, or even fifth choice but it’s growing on me! I’ll share recipes, ideas, or even funny/good stories I hear about that I find interesting. It is definitely a work in progress. Especially my header, I can’t get anything to work right!

So make my day and stop by to read it every once and awhile. You can really make my day by becoming a fan.
