Hello Kitty!

This year Gracie wanted a Hello Kitty themed bday pj party at her house with girls from her school. She wanted a pinata again and pizza and movie. It was very easy to put together. I did realize that I didn't have enough planned! The weather took a turn for the worse and was super dark and stormy so no outside pinata. I wanted the party contained to one room because there was too many to have all over our house! Some girls tried to escape periodically but luckily I had help with crowd control :)

The same lady that made Ramsey's cookies made her hello kitty cookies. So fun ! She does an awesome job! The girls each took home a goody bag and a cookie.

I said her pinata was too cute to beat up. Luckily it stayed in tact and we're going to hang it in her room for decoration!

The girls LOVED her opening presents and we almost didn't do that. Luckily we need a time filler and it worked. Each girl was so anxious for her to open the present from them. It was really funny!

These are out of order but she couldn't wait to fill the pinata with the goodies.
GG spent 2 hours hand making all these hello kitty goody bags! They were super cute.

I have SO many people to thank! Thank you to GG for all of your help prepping for the party, to Grandma Gauger for watching the baby the entire weekend so I could prepare for the party! Kelly and I both looked up a few times and had forgotten about him we were so busy! Thank you to Aunt Allie for crowd control and helping to serve and take pictures. Thank you to Kirk for rigging up the Hello Kitty pinata on a broom so we could do it in the house. Thank you to Nicole for crowd control, serving, and taking notes of Gracie's gifts for thank you notes, and thank you to Pop for trying to give us light!
You know how shit always falls apart right before a party? Well that happened. Kelly went to change a light bulb around 2:00 and at 5:45 Pop was over helping to fix it because the entire light came undone. Kids were coming at 6. Wires, ceiling crap all over. Then a breaker went out. It was a nightmare! So, we had a very dark hallway for the party :) Thankfully no on asked!  It takes a village to make a party. But Gracie is so worth it and it was fun to meet some of her new friends :) Lesson learned though- always OVER prepare for things and have back up plans. I even had to pull out some board games at the end because only a few wanted to watch the movie Epic. The others wanted to run around our house and hide and scream :) Not happening at our house. Allie, GG, and I had to turn on our "teacher" voices to get them under control. It was crazy and I was thankful to see the clock strike 8:00 and have parents at our doorstep in the pouring rain!

Happy Bday Gracie Girl!!

I'm 35

That's hard to say, I'm 35 now! Crazy! It seems like just yesterday I was turning 30 but it has been 5 more years! I will say that I'm feeling it. I'm getting older. Having a baby at 34 almost 35 hasn't been easy! My back hurts from being on the floor all the time and leaning over changing diapers. But it's what's here- aging!
My 35th was spent at the beach. I couldn't ask for more. It was a little crazy getting there that day. A 6 hr drive took 8 but that's okay. We made it and it was fun!

Happy Birthday Pop!

Pop had a big birthday last weekend so we all got together for dinner to celebrate!

Kirk grilled out yummy pork chops and the kids had a great time playing together. She loves playing at his house with all his fun bigger kid toys!

It's weird to think that in a few months there will be a baby boy in this picture!

Happy Birthday Pop!

Pajama Party!

Finally after much anticipation it was finally time for Gracie's pj party! It was a little colder than I would have wanted but I guess pj's were a fun addition and everyone was comfy and warm.

Our house was transformed into party world and luckily I had Amber and Grandma to help me that day get stuff set up! Her first guest was Maxum and she was thrilled!!

Everyone came and we got the party started with a pinata. Gracie really wanted one so it was fun to do (even in the freezing cold!)

Dumb me thought the pinata would be broken in 5 swings. It took everyone hitting their hardest and then Kelly finally had to get it so the fun would spill out !

The kids literally dove for the treats then had fun opening their goody bags inside.

Next it was time for the kids to eat. Kelly made hot dogs so we all got the kids ready. We used her picnic table in the play room and added a few more chairs. It worked!

I'm not sure what they all ate but they were good for a few minutes :) While the adults ate I put on a DVD for the kids, Too Much Birthday! They all loved it!

The adults were able to eat and the kids were happy. I left the DVD playing for longer than the 23 min episode so we could all eat! After eating it was time for cake!

Cupcakes for kids, cake for the adults :)

She got some great stuff! So much fun opening presents. I had all these great visions for picture of everyone but parties end up being fast and furious. It was all over so fast and so much going on I lost track of time. We were missing GG too. Pop and Kirk were at a golf tournament out of town but GG was going to come but right before the party she had to take Papaw to the emergency room. He wasn't feeling well and she thought he needed to be checked out. He's better now but we didn't know for sure so we were all worried and missing them!

After everyone left we let Maxum and Gracie run around and stomp/pop all the balloons. That was the best part I guess. Maybe we should just have a balloon stomping party next year :)

Gracie had a great party thanks to everyone for coming and my helpers :) Another party down! I was exhausted!!
