Ramsey at 15 mths

My sweet, sweet bubba is 15 mths old. Time flies. He's not much different than he was at 14 mths except he has started taking a few steps. I think 4 steps is the most. He HATES to walk. He prefers to crawl or be carried by Mommy. He is a total MOMMA's boy! He never lets me leave his side for more than a few minutes. He loves his Daddy and his Sister but I'm his favorite :)

We had his 15 mth appt yesterday with a new Dr. (that we all really liked!!) and we learned a few things about our boy.

25 lbs! 50th%tile for height and weight 

95th%tile for HEAD. He has a HUGE head!

Based on his length and K and I's height the Dr said that should put him at around 5'9-5'10 when he's fully grown. 

We talked about discipline. It was funny! The Dr said we should be starting time-outs with him (especially when he bops us on the head). He loves to bop on the head! 

Overall he thought he looked great. He still has some bad eczema patches and the Dr said it could be a food allergy. We'll have to continue to work on the patches with special cream but it is better then it was last summer. Changes of weather do affect his eczema. 

He's wearing 24 mths and size 2T clothes. He seemed to skip right over 18mths. I had bought him a bunch of 18 mths in the spring thinking he'd wear it this summer but it is mostly too small already :( Big Boy! 

He loves music, going for walks, and pushing his walker around the house. He has a great appetite and will eat just about anything. 

He really only says "uhh-ohh" but he babbles all day long and really accentuates some words. It's very funny. He usually babbles and makes his last word or sound really high pitched. We sure wish we knew what he was saying but it must be something good! He's a mostly happy guy but has his moments of sourness (especially when Gracie takes something from him!) 

He is a GREAT sleeper and will sleep 12 hours at night. He would take 2 naps if we'd let but we're trying to wean him off the morning nap because his babysitter in the fall will not have him nap in the morning. He can do it but he just goes down earlier like around noon or 12:30. Sometimes he naps 3-3.5 hours! love that he loves to sleep! He has lots of teeth and now a few molars are coming in which hurt really bad.

Summer Time

Summer time is here and I'm soooo excited! I've officially been off for 1 whole week and I'm already used to not working. I don't miss it AT all :)  Here's what we've been up to...

A fun crafty chalkboard I made on the side of a kitchen cabinet. G loves playing in it.

Visiting the pet shop. We now have a fish. Lucky us. Rosie is her name and she's pretty boring! R loved watching the cats!

This boy is INTO everything. Lots of $$ and time to childproof the cabinets. He crawls on over (not walking yet) stands up and takes it off in less than 5 seconds. great. 

         


This girl is in Gymnastics Camp all week and loving it! So fun. She comes out with a red face and having had so much fun !!

14 mths old

Sweet Ramsey is 14 mths old. Already. I can't believe it! Mostly I'm so thankful to have the summer weeks ahead of me so I can soak in all this sweetness from him!

 

Ramsey Facts:

LOVES milk, in fact it's all he will drink

Weighs around 25 lbs

Wears size 4 diapers

Wears 24 mth clothes

Takes 2 decent naps a day

Sleeps almost 12 hours at night solid

Loves going for walks, swimming, strolling

Refuses to walk on his own but will push his walker around

Eats pretty much everything now and enjoys every bite

LOVES to try and get into locked cabinets

HATES having his diaper changed/getting new clothes

At 7:00 pm we say "Night Night?" and he waves bye bye to go to bed

Favorite word is "Uhh-ohhhhhh"

Loves his Gracie like no other :)

Is VERY ticklish

 The sweetest boy I know :) Happy 14 mths Buddy! 

Last Day of Kinder

Somehow through all the craziness of ending the school year, our baby finished Kindergarten. Even now I know school is over, I can't wrap my brain around this year being done for her. She finished Kinder? How can it be?

What a big year this has been for my sweet girl. She grew a few inches, decided to grow her hair out, lost 4 teeth, learned to tie her shoes, ride her bike, and her reading soared. My baby....

Here's a side by side from the first day WAY back in August and her last day June 6th. She had a fantastic year. We were blessed with a very sweet, loving teacher that just made her grow, grow, grow. She met wonderful friends and loved going to school! What more can you ask for? I'm not ready to say I have a first grader!!

Around the House

It's hard to believe its mid-May already! We are knee deep in end of the year festivities!



Mothers Day tea at her school. Was sooo sweet and so glad my principal let me take an hr off to go!


Enjoying the little things like feeding the ducks


We call this baby jail! R is secure from the pool and we get to enjoy the pool more! We're about to convert to a salt water pool. So excited!!


And today- poor R has a double ear infection. I took advantage of being off and surprised her at lunch! She was grinning ear to ear. I'll never forget her face ;) R enjoyed lunch too but he was not able to eat in the 20 min the have! He loves to sit and eat for an hour! Can't do that in kinder ;)

Mr Sunshine

To say I love this kid is an understatement! Yes, he's fussy a lot and has feeding issues that we're working on, but I cannot get enough of him!
I NEVER thought I'd be so attached to a boy!

Gracie Lately

A quick peek into what shes been doing...



GG bought the princess her own float. She hasn't gotten out of it! She days she'll share but somehow I don't think she will.

With the weather nicer (now hot!) she thinks about the pool nonstop! It's all she wants to do. It's fun but gets old!











And then this happened... She rides on 2 wheels now!! It took her about 3 days (using a mini bike so she could reach the ground) and now she's set!



So proud! She still needs a little push to start off but she's really got it down now!

Kindergarten has been a HUGE year for her! Her reading blossomed, she learned to tie her shoes, now ride a bike. Big girl!!

Bluebonnets

Ahh, Spring is here and finally some decent bluebonnets. It all depends on our winter weather and rain to see if we get some good flowers. Not the best we've had but some pretty patches here and there. Ramsey was obsessed. He literally wouldn't take his eyes/hands off of the pretty flowers. He even tried eating some. Silly boy. Luckily big Sis to the rescue. She wasn't going to let him eat flowers on her watch!

It was a fun afternoon I guess! If you call bee watching, snake look out, don't eat the bluebonnets kind of afternoon! Phew! Glad that's over :)

1 Year old!

It's hard to believe but our little Buddy is 1 YEAR OLD!!

 How a difference 1 year makes...

He just makes our life complete! We love you Ramsey!! We are so thankful and grateful you are happy and healthy. You are all BOY and a sweet, sweet love. Happy #1!!

Life with an Almost 1 year old

It's hard to believe but we almost have 1 one year old at our house. Life is crazy busy. So busy when I finally get a minute of peace I'm usually going to bed :)

Ramsey is full on crawling/pulling up on things/showing a temper. But we love him to pieces!

 

Everything is blurry b/c the kid is NEVER still! I mean you CANNOT take your eyes off him for one split second. He's into something or crawling through something or trying to get outside. Total boy, I love it!

 

This was his 10 month photo shoot but since it was so close to 11 it's the 10th/11th month!!!

This kid! We just can't get enough. What can I say? He LOVES to eat, sleep, and play. Pretty much sums up his day and he's all over it. He loves his Gracie girl to pieces too. If she's there then he's pretty happy. Over spring break we actually had his little first bday party early while Grandma and Grandpa were in town. It sure was fun but I'm refusing to say/believe we have a 1 year old! It's gone by too fast!

Lately

 Gracie is playing soccer again. We are sorta (basically) making her. It wasn't her choice but she needs the activity of it. Plus, she's a very good player and needs to play! This time around she's on a team with some other kinder girls from her school so we are hoping that she likes it better. So far, so good! She's had 2 games and plays way better than last year! She's even been aggressive with the ball and made some goals! Go Gracie!

 Here we are at our Valentine Dinner! The day after Valentines, of course! We had a yummy Chuy's dinner at 4:45! We have to eat early with kids!

 Ramsey enjoying a swing while Gracie had soccer practice. She does practice right across the street so it's SO nice to be close to that!

 And Ramsey is officially totally MOBILE! He was doing the worm forever but now he's full on crawling all over the place. We have to watch him like a hawk. He's into everything. He especially loves the bathrooms. We have started to close all the doors, which isn't easy to remember to do!

And my two loves. Everything is better when they are together!
