Friday morning we woke up super early at the hotel to get ourselves ready to be on the road again for a full day of driving. We left Ok. City around 8:30 and Gracie did great in the car. I think she was exhausted from the night before and all the Christmas excitement. She napped good and we stopped just once for lunch then we made it to Columbus around 4:00. It wasn't bad at all. As we were unloading Auntie Dana, Uncle Matt, and Cousin Easton, and Auntie Amber were all pulling too! Gracie was a little unsure at first but she slowly started warming up to things!
We had a nice dinner together with everyone. Gracie was very intersted in all the presents under Grandma's tree. She even found this gift of Grandpa's and she kept crawling up on it. Grandma let her open a few gifts too! She opened a Dora water toy doll (for her new water table they got her) and a really cute backpack just for her little stuffed animals with a new pig, dog, and cat!
Saturday
We were relieved that Gracie slept all night! Poor Cousin Easton was coming down with bad double ear infection so he had to go to the Dr. and wasn't himself all weekend. We visited all day and then went out in the snow. Nebraska had some left over snow from a few days before. It was perfect weather in the 30's and 40's so we had to venture out in it. I came prepared this year with her hat and mittens, unlike last year!
Sunday: Poor Easton was still not well but did get on some meds..
Tuesday morning bright and early we left for the LONG haul back to Texas.
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for our fun visit and we are looking forward to your visit to Texas in March!
