Christmas in Nebraska

There are a lot of pictures here!

Friday morning we woke up super early at the hotel to get ourselves ready to be on the road again for a full day of driving. We left Ok. City around 8:30 and Gracie did great in the car. I think she was exhausted from the night before and all the Christmas excitement. She napped good and we stopped just once for lunch then we made it to Columbus around 4:00. It wasn't bad at all. As we were unloading Auntie Dana, Uncle Matt, and Cousin Easton, and Auntie Amber were all pulling too! Gracie was a little unsure at first but she slowly started warming up to things!

We were all so glad to be out of the car!

We had a nice dinner together with everyone. Gracie was very intersted in all the presents under Grandma's tree. She even found this gift of Grandpa's and she kept crawling up on it. Grandma let her open a few gifts too! She opened a Dora water toy doll (for her new water table they got her) and a really cute backpack just for her little stuffed animals with a new pig, dog, and cat!

She loved her new Dora doll and kept smooching on her.

Saturday
We were relieved that Gracie slept all night! Poor Cousin Easton was coming down with bad double ear infection so he had to go to the Dr. and wasn't himself all weekend. We visited all day and then went out in the snow. Nebraska had some left over snow from a few days before. It was perfect weather in the 30's and 40's so we had to venture out in it. I came prepared this year with her hat and mittens, unlike last year!
I thought this was cute and shows how attached Gracie was to me and Kelly. When one of us walked out of the room she cried. She was just very unsure about things!

She really had fun trying to walk in the snow. Her snow boots were not the best fit for her feet but we only stayed out for a few minutes. After her nap we got to open "prizes"!

Gracie got some great things!

Gracie and Auntie Amber who will be getting married the next time we see her in May!

Sunday: Poor Easton was still not well but did get on some meds..
Little Miss was not real happy to see Daddy holding him!

Playing with her new animal friends.

Playing with Easton in the kitchen

She loved getting into all of Grandma's things!

More play time!

Grandma kept a bunch of toys that were Kelly's, Dana's and Amber's. She especially loved the old school Little People Barn and house with all the people and animals. They sure don't make them like that anymore!

Giving Grandpa a Hi-5! She got really good at this!

Monday:

She was just FINALLY warming up and it was our last day. Kelly and I even left her for a bit with Grandma. I thought this was a cute picture.

Being silly with Daddy.

One last picture with Grandma and Grandpa

Tuesday morning bright and early we left for the LONG haul back to Texas.
We were still in Oklahoma and she needed something fun to do so I started taking goofy pictures of her. 13 hours in the car + a almost 15 month old= not much fun! She did pretty good considering the situation. I wanted to scream at times too being in the back seat with her :)

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for our fun visit and we are looking forward to your visit to Texas in March!
