Christmas Night

Kelly got ants in his pants and decided to leave for Nebraska Christmas night like last year even though we said we were not going to do that! I had about 1 hour and a half when we got home from Christmas lunch to do a load of laundry and finish packing before we left. It was a crazy time in our house! We made it safe and sound just north of Oklahoma City to stay for the night. The only bad thing was that it was little pumpkin's dinner time and we could find NOTHING open to eat (except movie theaters!) for dinner. We ended up finding a Waffle House and can I just say GA-Rooss!

And, we're off!

We checked in to the hotel and got her all situated. It was WAY passed her bed time but she thought it was party time. When we got her ready for bed she grabbed the remote right away. How does she know this?

She was having way too much fun in bed with us. She was jumping on the bed, laughing, laughing, and just being a total ham. She's stand up and fall over backwards on the pillows just cackling. It was very funny. The thing I think Kelly and I will never forget is that we finally got her settled and asleep (or so we thought) in the middle of us and so Kelly flipped the channel and landed on a stand up comedy show. The crowd was clapping and laughing. Gracie jumped straight up in bed and started clapping and laughing along with them. It was a very long, not a very good sleep night for us, but she thoroughly enjoyed it!

Oh that made me laugh out loud! (Lydia is napping on my chest right now - luckily I didn't wake her...) How insanely funny it must have been to see Gracie suddenly clapping and giggling like that... I'm glad she's enjoying life so much!

Loved the part about Gracie jumping up and clapping! Too cute! They think they have to clap along whenever anyone claps!! ;) I could never get T to sleep with us! I don't think he'd ever fall asleep! I'm glad you all had a safe and fun trip to Nebraska! I hope we get to see you all again soon!
