All About Gracie

Gracie is growing and changing so much I thought I needed to do a post just about her! She is into doing some funny things now and I just don’t want to forget them.

She loves to play hide and seek. Her Daddy taught her this one. She hides in the same spot though-which is funny- our closet!

She is into shutting doors now. She will lock herself in a room now and she just can’t quite open knobs by herself so she’ll scream bloody murder till you open it then she says “Hi-eeeeee” like it was no big deal.

She loves to watch herself on the computer. Any time I am on our lap top she walks over and says “watch” “Watch” and she wants to watch a video of herself.

She really likes to point out if you’ve made a mess. Even if it’s a couple pieces of paper of you really did spill something she’ll say “Mess” or “Mama, make mess?” and she just does not get over it.

Her favorite phrase lately is “I got it!” Anytime she opens or closes a toy or catches something she’ll scream this.

She has also learned the phrase “Mine.” I really don’t know how or where, but it’s here.

The days of sitting so sweetly in her high chair through a lunch or dinner are OVER. It just started a few weeks ago and has not gotten any better. She has discovered that if she screams “all done!” we will have to take her out. We’ve tried eating with other kids even Maxum and before we even got our lunch it was “all done!”

She growls at me now too. I say growling, but it’s not like a dog growl. It’s this sound she makes in the back of her throat if she’s mad at me. And trust me, she is mad at me a lot!

I sometimes call Jack “Jackie” and she has started doing it too, so sweet to hear her say “Hi-eeee Jackie!”

She has also started answering questions with the word “yes.” I’ll ask her something like “Do you want to eat?” and I hear “yes!” Too cute.

Things are just happening so fast it seems for her these days and it makes me sad in a way. Time flies when you’re having fun!
