Life at 21 Months

Gracie is 21 months old TODAY! I actually did not remember until around 2:30 today. Life with a 21 month old is a lot of fun but very busy.

I’ve been having so much fun taking pictures with my new camera! I think Gracie is getting a little tired of it. Something about the flash, makes her do this:

Here is our 21 month old letter

Dear Gracie,

Today on July 2nd, you are 21 months old! This month has gone by so fast I almost forgot!! We have had a really good time this month playing and eat out with friends, and going to the pool. We have been going to the pool almost every day now for 2 weeks to try and beat the hot, hot, hot June and July we’re having. You are getting more used to the water and you have even started liking to float on your belly and kick your legs. Your favorite part about swimming? Taking a break for a snack!

We were going to take swimming lessons but we missed the registration deadline. Who knew registration was in May? Not me!! We might take a Sat. class next spring to get you ready for next summer!!

You love, love, love to make a mess with toys and then you say “mess!”

You really like music. You say “On” and point to the cd player like you are in this picture! Then you dance around. You turn your cd player on and off all by herself in your room. It’s so funny!

I am letting your bangs grow so you let me put your bangs in a little side pony. It’s so cute! You are still getting new hair growing in too.

You have become the worst eater ever. I just don’t know about you sometimes. You hardly eat anymore. Usually you will eat okay 1 meal a day then it’s pretty much a few bites here and there. Everyone says if you are hungry then you’ll eat. You are drinking a lot of water all the time.

This last month your vocabulary has just exploded. You are talking all the time and it’s so funny how quick you learn and pick up on things. You understand a lot and it’s sooooo nice to tell you to go put something away or pick up something and you do it. (I hope that lasts!!)

You do show your temper a lot more. You like it your way or no way. We try and ignore your wrong behavior as much as possible but it’s hard sometimes! I do think you are starting to get your 2 year molars. You’ve had your fingers in your mouth a lot and bad, yuck diapers, and your irritable. Teeth are no fun.

You are such a sweet love though! You give the best kisses and hugs. You love your babies and Jack!
