Parasailing and the Boardwalk

For Tuesday we planned  for Kelly and I to go parasailing. I did it a long time ago but Kelly never has. I’m not scared of heights at all, but I am scared of one thing, sharks. I know it might sound crazy but it is my biggest fear. I grew up with the movie Jaws and it never gets out of my mind! I was very concerned on how we would get to the boat ( I was NOT going to swim out there) and I did NOT want to be dipped in the water. Of coarse I tell the workers and they think it’s so funny and teased me about having the shark harness on (the one with the blood).

We ended up having to ride on a banana boat float being pulled by a jet ski out to the boat. It wasn’t bad, I just hung on to Kelly for dear life! We had 3 other people with us that went first and very small world, they were from Plano! Even smaller world was that 2 of them were girls that went to Bowman Middle School, which is the middle school that kids from the school we teach at go to AND the 2 girls knew several of Kelly’s former students. Weird uhh?? Here we are all suited up.

We took this Banana Boat float to the boat that we took off in. I was so scared of falling off this thing!!

We went 2nd so we got to watch the other people go first and that made me feel better. I was totally against being dipped but the driver said to watch how he dipped the other people and basically just their toes got wet so I agreed to being dipped. Here we are, can you see us???

And here we are getting dipped soaked. Right as we were going down the wind died and we got totally wet, I even got water in my mouth! (It was fun though)

Pop watched Gracie in the shade while we were up. (It was pretty hot that day)

And here we are after…

We were very close to the Boardwalk so we drove down and walked along to watch people fish. A man had just caught a fish so he gave it to Maxum to throw over board.

 

 

Gracie tripped and fell and bit her tongue really bad so she carried around a water bottle the rest of the time.

It was really hot so we didn’t stay very long!

This is how our little bug has been sleeping every night. Sawing logs… from pure exhaustion!
