Christmas Prep

**Kelly's Korner folks! Scroll down to the bottom to see some neat gift ideas! These were some of our Christmas gifts this year but some would be great for mothers/fathers day!

Baking for Christmas was so fun this year because I had a little helper. Gracie helped me all day on Christmas eve. She was so helpful!

First we made a Peppermint Cake that we found here.

She poured, stirred, mixed, and tasted!

This was the final product. I don’t think I put enough icing on it and I definitely didn’t spray my bundt pan enough because some of the cake stayed in the pan. It was pretty tasty though! We also made some peppermint/pretzel candy which was really yummy! Here’s the recipe right here.
In between baking she did this:

She loved pounding the peppermints!

We stayed in our pj’s all morning and it was so fun! We also made rolls for Christmas and chocolate cake balls, YUM!

I thought I’d share some of the gifts I made/had made for presents.
I had this blanket made for GG. I thought it turned out really cute! (walmart.com, photo dept)

Love the baby pics of Maxum and Gracie!!

I also made a word album for GG to put Christmas pics in. It spells out the word ‘believe’. I put just a few pics in and left some room to add more for each Christmas. (Hobby Lobby sells the plain letter albums near in scrapbook section)

Then this last one was an idea I found here:

Can you tell who it is?? Funny story, we gave some Papaw too to have up and I was helping him to unwrap his and Gracie’s was on top. I said “Who is that Papaw?” and he said “George Washington.” It was so funny!
The project was super easy to make and I think they turned out so cute. It’s amazing to me how much I think they really look like Gracie and Maxum. Don’t worry about the photos. This was the profile pic I took of Gracie.

Make sure to do it on a white wall or door though, that helps Smile

These were the photos I used. Maxum’s was a phone picture but it still worked.
Here’s Gracie’s:

Cute, uhh? Cheap, cheap project and super cute. On each tile I wrote their name and age.  I had a tile left over so I did this:

I might do this every year with her Santa picture.
