Snow Day #5

We had our 5th snow day in 2 weeks today! We were supposed to get sleet all night but it really didn’t start until 4ish. I was up at 4:30 and saw how clear it was and thought there was no way we’d miss school. I went ahead and got up to get ready around 5 and shortly after Dallas called off school then all the other big districts did too. I was just about to dry my hair but it wasn’t hard to put pj’s back on. About that time Gracie was up too so she came into our bed and we watched some cartoons

We were pretty lazy today which is always nice. She played with babies and made her very own nursery in our living room.

She cut/glued some shapes and colored.

 

We made Kelly’s favorite no bake bars (Recipe Here), and just had fun around the house. Gracie enjoyed making little disasters around our house! We did manage to get out in the freezing cold (4 with the wind chill!) It was so windy.

Look at us! Ha. I had on 2 pair of pants, snow boots, like 3 shirts plus a jacket, 2 hats, It WAS SO COLD! Gracie didn’t seem to mind at all I have some videos I’ll have to post another time.

Gracie’s recent favorite show is Scooby Doo. The same episodes I watched when I was little too (but older than her!). She LOVES Scooby and shaggy, but of coarse there are ghosts in it so she pretty much watches like this:

We were supposed to get 2-6 inches and really I’d say we just got a light dusting with about 1 inch. (Last week we were supposed to get a dusting and ended up getting the 6 inches!) It was still a fun day and I ‘ll take any free day off from school that I can get!!!
