Learning Lessons of a Mommy

I had the bright idea of taking Gracie to feed the ducks early this morning. Which resulted in ducks bombarding us and scaring her 1/2 to death. Which resulted in me swinging our bread sack at their heads to get them to stop.

Which resulted in us only getting to feed the turtles. Which resulted in Gracie pouting because I wouldn't’ t let her throw the crumbs in the water because I thought she’d fall in the yucky water. Which resulted in Gracie crying. Which resulted in another bright idea by me to go play at the beach club in Allen. Which resulted in lots of smiles followed by “I’m having so much fun Mommy!”

Which resulted in me getting to lounge in a beach chair in the shade watching her have this fun. Which resulted in her completely diving into the sand. Which resulted in her being covered head to toe in sand. Which resulted in her looking at the fountains saying “I just want to get my feet wet.” Which resulted in me letting her get more than just her feet wet. Which resulted in her getting completely soaked to the bone wet.

Which resulted in more smiles and laughter. Which resulted in full on running and standing over all large fountains to get a nice rush of water up her. Which resulted in her having to potty. Which resulted to me saying “There are no potties right here, just tee-tee in your shorts.” Which resulted in her happily obliging and tee-teeing in her shorts and running around the fountains some more. Which resulted to her saying “I'm cold Mommy!” as she’s shaking. Which resulted in me saying “Time to go!” Which resulted in me having to use 2 towels the nice friends of Allen fountains graciously keep out for people like me that do not bring towels. Which resulted in me having to steal the towels and take them to our car. Which resulted in me stripping down my freezing cold, wet to the bone 3 year old in my car. Which resulted in me driving home with a fully naked 3 year old.

Which resulted to my learning lessons to never leave my house again w/o a change of clothes and a towel for her just in case. After all this fun, the afternoon resulted in a 2 and 1/2 hour nap by both of us. Gotta love summer time Smile

That beach area is so fun! My kids loved it. I've had to do the naked drive-home too...since then I always have extra underwear and shorts for both kids!

Ok, this is so not interesting, but I have to tell you that Lydia has that same shirt and those shorts, too! Yay Target, right!?
