One Sweet Life

You can probably imagine just how much fun I have been having with my sweet girl. As far as hanging out with her and playing with her this has been the best summer so far. Other summers have great too but she has just changed so much into a little person. 

All this makes me think about the future. What will she be like in kindergarten? (Maxum is about to start kindergarten so she keeps asking me when she is. Only 2 more years…) I wonder what she’ll be like as a teenager. Will she and I get into screaming matches like my mom and I did?  What will it be like as she starts to date? Yikes! I will for sure have way more gray hair then!!

All these deep thoughts make me realize just how lucky I am and to live in this moment, right now. Not to take anything for granted.

Live for today. Don’t wait until tomorrow. Don’t take things too seriously. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

After all, we only have one shot at this thing- one chance at parenthood to make things right. It’s not to say I don’t make mistakes. There are lots of things I wish I could redo or have a do-over!

I tell this girl all day long how much I love her. All the way to the moon and back. I give her thousands of hugs and kisses. So many kisses I think her face will fall off!! Welcome to our world… One Sweet Life…
