It’s pretty sad when you’re doing a weekend post on Monday night but things have been crazy. As usual. Here’s a run down of our weekend. Friday night we went to Freebirds for dinner and we were planning on going to the fountains across the street but there was a band playing and no water action. We told Gracie the fountains were ‘closed’ and she settled for a Dora popsicle at home! Sat morning we ran errands in the am and didn’t do much. Kelly grilled yummy hamburgers and corn on the cob then we hit the Allen fountains again. Gracie had a ball.
We even watched the water show that night they do and we got soaked! Then we showed Kelly the Beach club next door and she played in the sand and had a great time. We stayed there until 8:45!! Fun stuff. There were so many people playing volleyball and it was fun to just people watch.
Sunday we did stuff around the house. Gracie and I have started doing some ‘school work’ to keep up with preschool stuff. She loves it! We only do about 30 or so minutes a day. It’s not easy teaching your own kid
She still uses her left hand some. She does much better with her right though. She did really good. Today she was circling the largest or smallest objects and then coloring what the directions said. I bought a few of the preschool workbooks on amazon a few weeks ago. They had a special so I got 4 workbooks for just $3!! I also painted her nails. She loves that! We’re also working on her letters and sounds. She loves the letter factory DVD and the starfall app on my phone.
Then met up with my family and one of my cousins (on Pop’s side) that Kirk and I hadn’t seen in years. She lives so close to us and we met up with her husband and kids. I didn’t get a picture because we were too busy talking and eating yummy fajitas!
I guess that’s about it. We started back with swim lessons again this am (last week!!). Tonight Kelly grilled a pork tenderloin and corn again (Gracie loves corn!). It was super good. Kelly did not understand why I wanted to take a picture of us eating. I said “for memories.” Why did men just not understand? He refused to look at the camera.
The contract on our house ends on Wed. so I’ve been running around like crazy trying to get things cleaned up and re-do some things around the house. More on that later!
