I have so much to catch up from last weeks festivities but for now here's a little baby update! I don't think I've even updated since we made the announcement, oops!
Here's the run down:
How far along: 14 weeks
Due date: April 10 (will be 1 week earlier no matter what for a c/sec)
Weight Loss/Gain I'm down about 10 pounds- was 15 so it's getting better!
Cravings: None- just glad that food is starting to be my friend again, not the enemy
Symptoms: Nothing too major- starting to have the awful leg cramps that wake you up in the middle of the night. Not fun
Here I am at the lovely 14 weeks :)
(I had the 5 year old take this today using my bad quality phone! She loved it though!)
Things have been pretty rough this time around. It's been 5 years since I had her so it's hard to remember but I do think I was sicker this time. Not throwing up but severe nausea and so sleepy I could barely make it. I was soooo sensitive to smells- everything smelled so gross. Things are slowly getting better and at least I can eat more regular type meals (but I still don't want to cook!) I usually eat waffles for breakfast around 6:30 then I am soooo hungry at 9 I could die. I bring a big snack like peanut butter crackers and fruit or more carbs. I just need something that can stay in me. I'm sure the lady I teach with is wondering how I can eat so much but it's the only time I pig out! I bring an apple/pb for a quick lunch so I can work through lunch and prep for the next day. Sometimes I'll have a little snack around 4ish and sometimes I don't. The first week weeks I lived on popcicles. I bought every flavor and brand! Now I really don't want one. It's amazing how things change fast.
The big news now is that I just had my genetic testing done this week. It's pretty standard now and it wasn't so much when I had her. They checked for downs and a few other chromosome disorders. It was a lonnnnng u/s and partially 3D to check the baby out. It was about 45 minutes so it started getting uncomfortable. I was able to see the baby, the brain, heart pumping blood throughout body, all fingers/toes and it was pretty neat. The Dr (not mine, had to go to a specialist) was wonderful and I really liked him. He said the baby looked awesome and so good. I was happy. Then we got to the point where he asked if I wanted to know. I felt bad b/c Kelly couldn't be with me this day but I still wanted to find out. I said I thought I knew. I was thinking girl. Even had a dream we had another girl and I just thought it was. Well, I was totally wrong when I was preg with Gracie. I thought she was a boy. And this time....... I was ................. wrong again! It's a BOY! Total shock I'll just say. I saw the parts in plain sight though so no denying. He said he can say with 95% accuracy but not to paint the walls yet :) Kelly is happy.
So that's the exciting news. I'm still in shock over the boy. Just can't believe it. I really, really wanted Gracie to have a sister but I'm sure she'll love a baby brother too. Bring on the trucks and trains and all the other boy toys :)
We finally told Gracie the news this weekend so I took lots of videos I'll have to post later!
