Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Everywhere!

I have made it one of my goals for 2010 to really clean out. We have lived here almost 6 years now and we have accumulated way too much stuff. Add in having a toddler that has also accumulated stuff for the past 2. 3 years! I usually make 6-8 trips to goodwill a year plus whenever a get a flier in the mail that a truck is coming around I usually bag something up for them. So far though in 2010 (all of 1 week!) I have given away over 8 bags of clothes/junk plus I went on a little rampage the other night and started cleaning out our kitchen. So, all of this went to the goodwill truck today.

I am definitely not a pack rat but I tend to keep stuff 'just in case' I need it. Like food containers and storage bins and you name it- I have at least 1 of them.
I get in these little moods from time to time where I just go crazy and start throwing everything away. Kelly knows the exact look in my eyes and he just looks the other way!
I told Kelly that if we ever get married again (ha, ha!) we were NEVER going to register for another dish, bowl, or cup AGAIN. We have over 3 sets of dishes plus my china that I just loved that we have used like- once??? So, it is my goal to not accumulate so much stuff. If something comes into the house, then something is going out!

Thank goodness for a big car!

And we're back to school now this week so back to busy, busy days and nights. I have been so busy that I don't think I've snapped a single picture of our little muffin since Sunday night. Can you believe it? I'm pretty sure my camera is going into shock! I even pre-published some of the posts I did this week because I knew we were going to be busy. But you didn't know that, did you! The video of her singing? I took it on Sunday night and set it to publish Wednesday. Now you know my secret...

It has also been SO cold here. Like most places, I know but cold- cold for Texas. It was 14 degrees (without the wind chill) in McKinney this morning. I know that would feel like pure bliss to those of you up North!

I promise to take some up to date pictures of Gracie this weekend. She's changed so much since Sunday :)
