Saturday, Fun Day

Saturdays, we live for Saturdays! It was an especially nice Saturday because Gracie slept in until 6:50. She hasn’t done that really since December. It was a nice treat!! I couldn’t believe it when I rolled over and looked at the clock. We were all dressed and ready out the door by 9:45- which never happens on a Saturday! We went to watch some of Kelly’s students play in a basketball game. It was such a nice day we headed over to Haggard Park, in the old part of Plano by our school. It’s such a pretty park and Gracie had so much fun!

Boy are park days sure different now for her. My girl used to be the one screaming “I hold you, I hold you” and she wouldn’t do anything. Now she’s the one running and climbing up high all by herself!

They have two separate play areas, one for older kids and one for younger kids. I was trying to get her to use the younger kids part and she didn’t want any part of that.

Down, down, down the slide she went.

Sadly, the fun park day had to end. Gracie was not too thrilled to be leaving….

We had to carry her out kicking and screaming. For about 10 minutes in the car she was screaming “I wanna go to the parrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk!” Poor kid. It’s like she NEVER gets to do anything fun, right? We also ate lunch out and went looking at dishwashers. We didn’t buy one yet because there are so many other things I would rather buy with that kind of $$!

We’re hoping for a repeat of today so we can head to the park by our house so this poor girl and quit crying over leaving the park today.
