Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Grandma and Grandpa stayed through the weekend and the first part of the week with us. We hit up parks and shopping a lot! Monday I wasn’t feeling the best so I got into my allergist and found out I have a sinus infection. (Shocker, I know). Then Tuesday I noticed Gracie not acting herself so I took her in and she has a sinus infection TOO. It just never ends! We did have one last fun day together. We started off Tuesday by making Kelly’s birthday cake. Gracie had picked it all out so she was so excited to help.

This girl must have really felt sick because she let me put her hair in a cute pony tail and that NEVER happens!

While she napped, Kelly and Grandpa babysat so Grandma and I could finally hit up the outlet mall here. Fun!

It was about this time that I really knew she wasn’t acting her normal self. I called in and got her into the Dr. right away. As soon as we pulled up to the office she started SCREAMING. It finally took the DR. saying “No shots, this time Gracie. I promise.” for her to stop. Gracie looked up crying and said “No shots?” and then she was good as gold. But, a definite sinus infection for her.

We came home and let Gracie ice the cake.

Then Kelly opened his gifts from Gracie too.

Her card said “Happy Birthday Daddy, From your little grill.”

Gracie got him a Minnesota Gophers t-shirt and the “Hangover” movie. She knew he’d like them! We also gave him Omaha steaks and yard service for a month. He LOVES that one!

Gracie thought Grandpa was just so funny!

 

For dinner we went out to eat steaks to celebrate Kelly’s birthday.

After dinner we sang “Happy Birthday” and had yummy cake while watching American Idol.

Grandma and Grandpa left the next morning to make the LONG journey home to Nebraska. Thanks for coming to visit us Grandma and Grandpa!!
