The Things I Do…

for a cute picture, that is.

Yesterday we had an appointment at a photo studio in Frisco to take bunny pictures. Remember the adorable bunny pic we got last year? It was the sweetest picture EVER of her leaning over kissing the little bunny on the nose. So sweet!

I wanted to re-create it or have a similar adorable picture for this year. What was I thinking??   Our appt was at 10. Kelly was teaching Sat. school so I was all on my own in the morning running around getting ourselves ready. Thank goodness GG met us at the mall to do her hair and help get her dressed and picture perfect! All I wanted was 1 cute bunny picture. Not too hard if you ask me. Well, the bunny was cute, not Gracie. She did NOT want her picture made (surprise, I know). She wasn’t in a bad mood she just didn’t want any pictures. We blew bubbles, sang Little Bunny Foo, Foo. Nothing worked. We got the real bunny out hoping she’d soften up, Nothing.  Nothing, Nothing, Nothing worked. She wasn’t screaming her head off like last time but very whinny. She wouldn’t go near the bunny at all. I was royally ticked. GG even brought her a treat, she didn’t care at all. So we stopped after only about 10 pictures. I told the girl she is a photographer’s WORST nightmare. She said she got a few pictures so if we wanted to wait about 20 minutes she’d upload them and we could look. I really wanted to leave. GG insisted we stay and just see them. So we walked around a little bit. Gracie strolled in a perfectly, peeved off mood. A few minutes strolling she wanted out. I let her out and she came alive. She started smiling, running, jumping. She was just hip-hop happy.

I”m like “Really? What is wrong with you?? Why couldn’t you do this 10 minutes ago?”

That’s Gracie for you.

So we still had to wait to view our terrible pictures and we head back to the studio. She sees the bunny’s in the cage and she is ALL over them. She wants to pet them, feed them. Asking all these ?’s about them. “Where they sleep? What’s zat? What’s zat?”   One of the workers was so sweet and got the bunny out of for her and she just loved and loved on him. Then he says “Well, we had a cancelation at 11 do you want to try again?” I was thinking “Are you kidding me? She is not going to do it.” So we wait a little more, she loves on more bunnies and I ask her. “Gracie, do want to take some more pictures with the bunny?” “Yesssss!” she says. So, they quick change the background to a white one and she jumps on in there. Wants to hold and pet the bunny, smiles all over the place. Needless to say she got LOTS of treats when we stopped.

And then she made it even harder to make the decisions on the sweetest ever pictures they took.

Playing Peek-a boo- with a wipe on the way home…

Two year olds just kind of suck sometimes! But glad Gracie changed her mind and cooperated :)
