Hoppy Easter

Easter came and went quickly this year. I was just thankful Gracie was healthy this Easter. (Last year she had a fever and was miserable) After a Barney show in our bed I told her she had a surprise downstairs and that someone had been here.

Her loot:

A Wearing Baby/Sling, coloring book, bubbles, stickers, markers, scissors, glue, and candy!

Her favorite was the baby, go figure!

We had a yummy pancake breakfast and then played a little bit with bubbles. (Please ignore me on the right hand side. I told my husband to NOT get me because I was in my pj’s and not looking so cute but did he listen? Not very well!

We hustled to get ready for church but I managed to get a quick before picture:

She looked adorable in her Easter Dress. Kelly said “Do all of her dresses have to be so pink?”

Seriously? What does he know?

We had a very short service at church so we kept her with us and she was so good. She kept watching people, eating snacks, and saying “what’s that? what’s that?” at everything. After church we headed over to Mimi’s Cafe to get some good brunch but the line was unbelievable. Like more than an hour wait. So we went to the next best place right across the street, Chili’s. Gracie was good but we had slow service and her 2 year old self was shining through. She wanted out of the booth and was screaming for me to move over (and this was even before we got our food). I was bribing her to sit and we could play bubbles when we got home but she didn’t care at all. I ate about 2 bites then got mine to go so I could take her outside. She had spilt her chocolate milk all down her front so you can imagine what she looked like.

After a nice long nap we played outside, then had a yummy steak dinner and then took Tessa and Jack for a walk. She was in heaven holding Tessa’s leash!

We hope you had a wonderful Easter and remember the true reason for Easter.

We are so thankful!
