Gracie was all into Mother’s Day this year. At 6:50 in the morning I hear this sweet little sound. It went like this “Mommy, Happy Mudder’s Day, Mommy!” All day she kept saying “Happy Mudder’s Day!” She called GG and Grandma Gauger and said “Happy Mudder’s Day” to them too.
We did something a little different and had dinner for Mother’s Day at GG and Pop’s house. (GG said we are never having dinner again, though!)
Gracie was in a piss poor mood when we got there. go figure. She literally had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. It took her nearly an hour to act her normal self. One thing to do though, is to let her play outside with Tessa and the water. She couldn’t contain her smiles. I was able to use my new lens so here are some shots from the night:
Kelly was standing just to the right of Maxum so I wasn’t thinking she’d fall in!
Pop grilled the best, yummiest Hawaiian chicken. GG cooked rice, corn, rolls, and everything else!
I am so thankful for my wonderful mother and my wonderful daughter. I am one lucky girl!!
A cute one with PaPaw and Gracie!
I can’t believe I got so many pictures of these kids smiling. (Especially the cute, little blonde to the left. He NEVER looks at the camera AND smiles at the same time!!)
One little sweet thing Gracie did at dinner. A lot of side conversations were going on so only me and Alison heard her. Gracie all the sudden said “Where’s Nana?” I said “Where is Nana, Gracie?” (because we have this conversation a lot) And she said “In Heaven!!” and pointed up to the ceiling. Then she said “Hi Nana!” and waved up to the ceiling and blew her a kiss. You think Nana was loving that or what? It was the sweetest thing EVER.
Happy Mudder’s Day to You!
