We are so grateful to live in a town with so many parks. We had a new one just open up so we decided to check it out. We have had a break in the 100 degree heat so it was the perfect afternoon (so we thought). We were the only ones at the park and Gracie thought that was so cool.
Within seconds we started seeing this in the background.
She didn’t care! She wanted to play, play, play
It was when we saw this…
that we started doing this..
(Running to the car) And just in time. It started raining buckets. Literally raining so hard that I don’t know how Kelly could see the road because I sure couldn’t!
The next day we went exploring some more and decided to venture to North McKinney to a place where weddings and outdoor concerts take place. Gracie thought when we said park it meant playground. She was all set.
Let me just say that she INSISTS she is wearing her glasses the right way. I try and change them and she freaks out. She also insisted she carry 2 babies. She kissed them on the head every 5 min. in the car.
It was so pretty but G was very mad. She wanted a playground and there wasn’t one. She did not want her picture made at all. See her face? Lovely.
I would have liked to have stayed there longer but things took a turn for the worse with Gracie. She was not having it. She wanted to play. We told her we’d go to a park next. We get her in the car and get going and guess what? It started to rain, AGAIN. Buckets, flooding on the streets it was raining so hard. That’s not easy to explain to a 2 year old. She doesn’t understand safety and all that we were telling her why we couldn’t go. At least we made some fun memories, right????
