We decided to do something very bold and daring on our 6th anniversary, we took Gracie to see her very 1st movie!! It has just been raining non stop here so we thought it would be fun to get out and see a show. Kelly really wanted to see Toy Story 3 so that's where we headed. He really wanted the 3-D but I didn't think it was worth the extra $$ paying for her and glasses if she could fussy and had to maybe leave. I had been telling her all day that we were going so she was so excited. She took an extra good nap which meant she was in a piss poor mood :)
caught her :)
waiting for popcorn! It was super crowded so I took her in while Kelly stood in line. I happened to find 3 seats together. Lucky! No pictures inside because there were too many people. Gracie really wanted to sit in her own seat. She tried but poor thing didn't weigh enough to keep the seat down so it folded in 1/2 and only her head and little feet her sticking out! She said 'Whoa, Whoa, help Mommy!" So she pretty much stayed in my lap for the rest. I really wished I had brought in a little pillow for her. I tried using my purse for her to lean back on but that wasn't comfortable for her.
We all gave the movie 2 thumbs up. It was cute. I thought it was a little too long though. Way too many previews then they had this 6 minute movie clip and that was dumb. Luckily we had popcorn and lots of snacks. She thought that was just so fun. She didn't get scared at all like I thought she would. She literally sat still in my lap for about 1 full hour. Then she wanted down for a minute then back in my lap for the rest. In the movie there is a toy baby. She loved it the best. She'd say "Hey, where did the baby go?" Then he came back on and she said (loudly during a quiet time) "There's the baby!!" I gave her a snack size of M& M's and she loved that too. She said "Daddy, want some MM's?" When it was almost over she said "I ready to go home now." I think she had had enough. She never fussed or whined though. She was really sooooo good! We were so happy!!
She was so ready to get out and walk around again!
She said "I ready to go home now. I watch a show??"
Still didn't want her picture taken. I can't wait to show her all these one day when she is older!!
Caught her talking on the phone to Maxum. I said "I got you!" and she said "Yes, you did!"
So, that was our anniversary night but the good news is that we are really celebrating it tonight by getting to go away for a night. We are not going far away but it will still be so fun. GG and Pop are keeping her for the night. Yea!!

I was SO annoyed with all the previews and especially that animation thing that lasted forever. If I'd known about them I would have walked around the lobby with Avery, because 15 minutes into the movie she'd had enough and couldn't sit still anymore. I'm glad Gracie enjoyed it!! Happy Anniversary :)
