One of the reasons we were so thrilled to go to Galveston this year was that now that Abbie lives in Houston she was able to come join us for some beach fun for a day. Gracie was so excited she was coming and of coarse, acted her shy self for awhile! Abbie hadn’t been to the beach in awhile so she couldn’t wait to get out and play in the sand too.
The girls played and played for hours in the sand and water. Abbie is a very good swimmer and she showed us her good swimming skills in the water. I got pinched on the toe by a crab. It hurt pretty bad so after that Lindsay and I wouldn’t get in the water!!
They stayed for our fajita dinner then took off for Houston again.
It was hugs for all when they left. Gracie kept saying “Abbie come play at the beach with me?” We were so glad they could come. We missed Steve and Carter. Poor Carter broke his arm so he couldn’t come but Gracie and I are planning to visit them in Houston real soon!
One little funny thing that Abbie said. Abbie is a very good talker (always has been!) and she was watching Kelly on the boogie board. She said “What’s Gracie’s Daddy doing?” so I told her he was riding his boogie board. She replied “My Daddy does not do that.” I was laughing, then Gracie said “What she said?” It was cute!
